Ray of sunshine in a rainy city ☀️
Trekked over to Santa Monica this morning from downtown LA while the sun was out. The rain very quickly came back but it was a beautiful part of LA nonetheless. Yesterday I walked around Hollywood in the pouring rain which made me so disappointed because I couldn't get my camera out. Last night I was going to post a photo of the Hollywood Sign I took the day before but at the final minute I just wasn't happening. Got me asking myself should I really be posting a photo everyday even if I'm not happy with it. I came to the conclusion that quality may be better than quantity!
If you're interested I'll post yesterday's photo on my story 😊

“Crookedest Street in the World” • *Not pictured* is the actual street 🤭because when you’re there you quickly realize if you just focus on the flowers, beautiful properties and captivating view of the bay you can *almost* block out the thousands of tourists and their selfie sticks 🌸
My grandfather had his coffee every morning. Just so. On the porch. Surrounded by my grandmothers jade and monstera, ivy and orchids. In the big house on Rose and Yosemite. There he sat. Roasted chocolate and smoked juniper. His coffee. Every Saturday, I sat curled next to him, on the cool terra-cotta floor. Eating my chocolate bar doughnut. The one he saved for me. The most beautiful habit we had. @poppycoffee_209 reminds me of him. It’s all in that roasted chocolate and smoked juniper. That nostalgic numbness.
My photos usually have at least one of my children in it. They roll with me everywhere. They are Stockton. This is my younger son, Sparrow Moon. • And hey, Paige makes a legit blended drink of coconut + mocha. They sell plants too.
My last takeover, a couple of years ago, I spoke of a place, where folks drank coffee and plants were for sale, music playing, people conversing. This is following suit.
