  • Lat pulldown-Back workout!☺️
Here is a little comparison of an incorrect lat pulldown (on your left) & the correct way of doing it (on your right). In my opinion, the left video is the most common mistake when doing this workout. Pulling the Bar to the Waist Line or their lower rib area. The problem with this move is that the lat muscles are not engaged, but the arm muscles. On top of that, going so down put extra stress on the shoulder muscles. It’s a wasted motion and, well, it’s good for nothing.🤷🏽‍♀️ Correct way on the right👉🏼 Keep your chest tall & bring your chest to the bar. Keep your elbows pointed straight down. Squeeze your lats, think of pulling from your armpits. Lower to your chin or just below. Now you will feel more that you’re working on your back!😉
I am not really the type of person who walks up to someone & correct their form. We all start somewhere right? just pls make sure that if you don’t know a certain workout ask a professional, so you don’t injure yourself.  Even tho i’ve been lifting for many years, there’s still a lot to learn! Sometimes when I feel like I am doing a certain workout wrong, I would stop myself & ask @lancep650 to watch my form & also recording myself helps to see my progress. 🙌

  • Tuesday Tip: I get this a lot. I hear I’m crazy for waking up extra early to hit the gym on days I have commitments. I hear I’m nuts for how hard I train. I hear that I’m selfish for trying to fit an hour of “me time” in. But you know what, the gym is my ONLY me time. It’s the only time of day I get to myself, to work off the stresses of life, motherhood and all the responsibility that comes with adulting. Some would say it’s an addiction, but I’m okay with that, because it’s the healthiest type of addiction - increasing metabolism, burning calories, building muscle - there’s nothing wrong about that. 
So next time you want to throw names at a #gymrat for giving himself/herself an hour or two, think about the negativity you’re filling yourself with, and use that to squat heavier. 🤣😘 P.S. Weight training is cheaper than therapy.
