Good Morning to you all.
It is a beautiful sunny day. Can you feel the Spring in the Air?
Guys, I have a question for you 🙋🏻♀️ What do you do when you want to relax? Do you have some kind of a relaxing ritual or something?
Why am I asking... when I want to relax, I am tidying up... I have this thing since I was a kid🤓
Sometimes it is hard to start, you can even feel frustrated especialy when you have lots of stuff...
In my oppinion, very important is that you start.
I usualy take eeeverything out of the shelves. Clean the shelves and going trough every single thing I had there... Selecting trough categories is the best!
And it is the same with the clothes.
Have you seen my post about #konmarimethod for folding your clothes? You should check it out if you haven’t done it jet.
Short story about how I started... one evening @mariekondo video poped up on my youtube... I was so amazed by her folding method that I have managed to reorganize my drawers in one night. I wouldn’t go back to the old pile folding system ever!
All my clothes are in less than four drawers, of course I have also donwsized (few times already) and kept only my favourite pieces.
I love how it looks, I feel great about it and dressing up is so much easier then before! I see exactly what I have, I know exactly what I wanna wear, and I feel great in any outfit I choose 🤓👍🏻 I highly recommend to check #konmari folding method and try it out 💪🏻👍🏻 Have a relaxing Sunday☀️ With love #gabriela_ar_design

Sharing these costume photos from way back in November because Cake Daddy Show is now in sunny Sydney. Costumes designed in South America by @lehodesosa, created on my 1008 Bernina machine in Belfast (see messy studio!) and worn in Belfast, Melbourne and now Sydney! Great to see it! Make sure you give the Cake Daddy team a big warm sunny Sydney welcome if you see them @sydneymardigras!
Sundays are for slow stitching. I love the way needle crafts lend themselves to contemplation. These are two of my current projects. Already thousands of stitches and countless hours have interlaced here with my quiet thoughts. Needle crafts are my time to think over the events of the week, to ponder my recent readings, to dream and make plans for the future. An indispensable part of my #motherculture 🧵

I’ve had a couple of people message me about the booties I posted a week or so back and if I had a pattern.
The pattern isn’t mine it’s one from @crobypatterns called “Winter snowflake bootie” so easy to follow and super cute!

Make your own glass and paper lantern! ♡ It puts out a beautiful warm glow, perfect for late summer evenings.
So hygge right now x
All you need is:
- A round glass bowl, fishbowl or stemless wine glass
- White tissue paper - Pva / elmers glue
- And a paintbrush - optional pressed leaves or flowers
Tear up your tissue paper into random organic shapes.
In a little bowl mix about a tablespoon of glue and a tablespoon of water, mix well - you just made mod podge/decoupage paste! Woohoo!
Brush a thin layer of this glue mix onto the side of your bowl, lay a piece of tissue paper onto the glue, then brush more glue over the paper to set it in place, smoothing out air bubbles as you go. (Less glue equals quicker drying time and more candle time!)
Continue like this around the bowl (avoiding the base), overlapping the pieces til the bowl is covered and you like the result. One or two layers is all you need but add more if you like! Add dried and pressed leaves between layers for an even more nature loving look.
Let it dry for an hour or so, then pop a tea light candle inside and enjoy your handmade lantern!
