Immer wieder kommt auch die Frage, was das tolle am CrossFit ist. Neben der Challenge gegen sich selbst ist es vor allem auch die Community und das Miteinander. Jeder kämpft für sich, doch gemeinsam kommt man dennoch weiter und pusht sich gegenseitig über so manche Grenzen (die meistens im Kopf sind) hinweg 💪🏻. Dazu kommt das unglaubliche Gefühl, wenn man das Workout geschafft hat, völlig platt ist und weiß, dass man 100% gegeben hat 🔥. Ich freue mich schon auf die nächsten Runden mit meinen Jungs bei @crossfitstuttgart 😀👊🏻. Habt einen super Tag meine Lieben ✌🏻.

First we eat, then we do everything else 👊🏻🔥.
Einen tollen Freitag Sportsfreunde 🙌🏻. Aktuell nutze ich jede freie Minute zum Packen und Schleppen von Kisten. Da bleibt wenig Zeit zum Kochen, aber dank @fittastecom gibt‘s trotzdem leckere und vollwertige Mahlzeiten 💚. Mein Favorit ist gerade mal wieder die Hähnchenbrust mit rotem Thai-Curry und Reis 👌🏻. So langsam ist ein Ende in Sicht und ich freu mich schon, wenn es ans Auspacken der 100 Kartons geht 🙈. Habt einen super Tag meine Lieben ✌🏻.

Last night I took my first Yin Yoga class with the lovely @bugbeejessica and today i feel amazing.

During her class she referenced a quote by C. S. Lewis.. "You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” And it was the perfect quote.

So today, make the decision to better yourself.
Make the change to change your ending.

Smith machine rack pulls
T bar rows wide grip
T bar rows narrow grip
Hammer strength rows
Cable rows
Dumbbell bicep curls
Dumbbell hammer curls 
Cable reverse grip hammer curls
.
We do 3-5 sets of 8-12 reps for each exercise. Give this workout a try!

⭐Thoughts of the day⭐:

Yesterday, we came up with a more solidified plan as to how to spice 🌶 up our workouts 🏋🏽‍♂️🏋️‍♀️ after we take our USMLE Step 1 exam, and we are super excited about it! From March 8 until May 5, we have a long break from school. So during this time, we are going to workout 1-2x daily if all goes according to plan. Mornings will be weight lifting, and afternoons will be cardio 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃‍♀️. Our weight lifting program is inspired by @dr.tommymartin . If you don't follow his page yet, you're missing out! And our afternoon cardio will mostly be on a track like I told you guys in yesterday's post. Can't wait to show you all! But for now, we have <2 weeks until the big exam, so you can find us buried in our books 📚 until then!

Side note: we don't recommend working out 1-2x everyday. We are just doing it because we will be off from school and we are slightly crazy 🙃. Plus, we want to see how hard we can push ourselves before we start school again in May.

Quero compartilhar uma experiência: Hj acordei simplesmente decidida a recomeçar uma iniciativa que estava se tornando um hábito, mas com apenas uma escapulida é o suficiente, para nos retirar do foco.
 Aliás eu antes de dormir  já estava decidida: não deixar de continuar meu "Milagre da Manhã".
.
O Milagre da manhã, baseado no livro de Hal Elrod inicia as 5 da manhã com 5 iniciativas:
.
São elas:
.
❤️o silêncio, que pode ser entendido como a meditação, oração...
.
❤️a afirmação, onde você lê em voz alta uma série de afirmações positivas;
.
❤️a visualização do momento em que você alcança seus objetivos;
.
❤️a realização de exercícios físicos;
.
❤️a leitura;
.
❤️e a escrita, que pode de ser um diário ou qualquer outra coisa.
.
E hj continuei os desafios, ainda incluí 30 minutos de Aeróbico em Jejum na bike, e como me sinto? Simplesmente renovada e refrigerada. .
E não posso deixar de incluir o momento da Gratidão, com esse potinho lindo feito pela @jureisartes
.
Enfim, Vamos crescer afinal o Projeto BEM-ME-QUERO merece alguém com o 💕💕 cada dia melhor.

  • Is a back arch in bench press dangerous?

💪🏻 And it’s mythbusting time again, as this is one of those things that just won’t die. •
💪🏻 I honestly don’t understand why the Powerlifting arch is such a controversial topic for untrained people. MANY activities have far greater spinal flexion positions without ever being a topic for discussion (yoga, gymnastics, ballet to name a few). Moreover the spine is moving dynamically in all those activities, which creates far more opportunities for injury; rather than being supported, as it is in bench press. •
💪🏻 So is it dangerous? YES!..... if you already have damage to your spine, or if you try to push end range of motion without first building up mobility & stability.
•
💪🏻 But seriously tho, the real answer is no - but with some nuances.
•
💪🏻 While benching with an extreme arch (a lot more extreme than what the average person is thinking) can put stress on the SI joint, it’s not inherently dangerous and - again - is generally safe so long as you build up to it.
•
💪🏻The vertebral joints in your L-spine & T-spine are safest when in the lordotic arched position. •
💪🏻 Arching in the mid back uses more of the lower than upper pec fibres (which are stronger) and puts the GH joint of the shoulder in a better position.
