  • What does a healthy lunch look like? 
I will tell you what is NOT a healthy choice.  A smoothie bowl with acai (usually sweetened), or a smoothie with banana, other fruits, juice, etc.  Or worse! Skipping a square meal or snacking. Why no to the fruit based smoothie?🍑🍌🍎That’s a major sugar bomb to your system (see my stories). It will give you an energy boost but you will surely crash later and probably crave more sweets!

Here’s a great rule of thumb: 
Fill most of your plate with greens! 🥗Add a good fat source ( I like a nice full fat salad dressing made with olive oil or avocado oil), Then add avocados, some carbs (shown here in the form of parsnip and sweet potato “fries”) and protein 👌This is a veggie based burger made with quinoa and beets&beans. 
The combination of FAT, FIBER, PROTEIN and CARBs will keep you satiated for hours AND will stop you from crashing and craving sweets mid afternoon.🙌 .

Oh and make sure you are eating enough! This is 🔑. Skimping on calories and under eating doesn’t equal weight loss, it can actually cause you to retain water. And it likely means you will likely graze all day, make the wrong food choices or overeat later. 🙅‍♀️ . And eating well is so important for women especially and hormonal health.  Balance those hormones by eating a balanced meals with fat!

  • 🔱ABANDONAR LA DIETA
Esto es algo muy común que me encuentro, personas con un peso NORMAL y SALUDABLE quieren perder unos kilitos y empieza hacer dieta. Por varias semanas RESTRINGE la alimentación y aumentan el ejercicio. No se da ningún gusto porque va a poder disfrutar cuando llegue al peso que quiere. Cuando llega al peso deseado DEJA la dieta. De a poco y sin darse cuenta vuelve a su peso anterior y poco despues lo supera. Se acuerda muy tarde y tiene que volver a retomar la dieta, pero le cuesta mucho y lo ven muy lejano, No está conforme pero tampoco está dispuesto a seguir con tanto sacrificio. Esto se vuelve un círculo vicioso, de hacer ejercicio y dieta sólo cuando nos acordamos y nos vemos gordos. ❌Basta de esas dietas raras! Esto pasa porque las dietas no son sostenibles en el tiempo y no fomenta el cambio de hábitos. A parte esas dietas si podemos perder grasa pero coste de sacrificar cuanto músculo⚠. Si uno quiere verse y sentirse mejor para siempre, hay que ser paciente y entender que hay que CAMBIAR de HÁBITOS y esto lleva tiempo. #alimentacionsostenible

🕉 Todo comienzo es difícil, pero aún así no dejes de intentarlo. Si tú comienzo ha sido fácil, entonces te tengo una noticia.... aún no has comenzado. Piensa, medita y batalla cada dia por tus sueños; No descanse hasta lograrlo. Lo que cuesta, se valora.

▶️ Lesson of the day: not all brands are created equal - make sure to check nutrition facts & ingredients. There are definitely healthy versions of peanut butter or even raspberry preserves if you prefer that over mashed raspberries but steer clear of jams with high fructose corn syrup added and peanut butter with vegetable oils and added sugar.⠀

Where as Ezekiel bread has the following Ingredients: Organic Sprouted Wheat, Filtered Water, Organic Sprouted Barley, Organic Sprouted Millet, Organic Malted Barley, Organic Sprouted Lentils, Organic Sprouted Soybeans, Organic Sprouted Spelt, Fresh Yeast, Organic Wheat Gluten. Simple and minimally processed - now that's a win!⠀

  • So we know Almonds are good, right? How about combining almonds with cocoa and making an energy ball out of it? 🙋🏻‍♀️😻
There are so many versions of this, but this is one of my favorites 🤤🍴🍫

No bake Energy Almonds and cocoa ball recipe:
🍬 1 cup almonds
🍬 8 dates (pitted and hydrated)
🍬 1/2 - 1 tbl spoon of hot water (if needed)
🍬 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder (100% cocoa)
🍬 1/4 cup dried cranberries
🍬 Opt from (or choose all of): 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds, 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut, 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds.

🥣 Hydrate the dates for a few hours, till it’s smooth and easy to mold.
🥣 Add the almonds into a mixer or food processor until it is chopped. Set aside.
🥣 In a food processor or mixer, add the dates until it is smooth (here you may need to add the hot water).
🥣 Add the almonds, cranberries and other additions you chose to the dates mixture. Mix it until all ingredients are incorporated. Add more water, if necessary.
🥣 Shape into balls and refrigerate for one hour before serving.

🌱FOOD: Gluten Free Chocolate Oat Cookies
💡THOUGHT: The single most important thing you can do for the environment is stop eating meat. The reason this fact is so hidden under “take shorter showers” and “reuse your grocery bags” is because the meat and dairy industry write legislature making the truth illegal and pay off the media.
▪️▪️▪️
_What you’ll need
2 tbsp ground up flaxseed meal
½ cup maple syrup
¼ cup Almond Butter
¼ cup cacao powder
2 cups jumbo rolled oats
¼ tsp coarse sea salt (optional)
▪️▪️▪️
_Method
1.Preheat the oven to 355° F and line a large baking tray with a piece of baking paper.
2.Add 2 tbsp of water to the ground up flax seed and set aside in the fridge for 5 minutes.
3.Mix maple syrup and nut butter really well. 
4.Next, add in rehydrated flax seeds and cacao powder. Mix really well.
5.Finally, mix in oats and salt (if using). Stir the mixture for a bit so that all the oats are well coated in the sweet mixture.
6.Place slightly compressed mounds of the cookie mixture onto the prepared baking tray
7.Bake for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool down before transfering.

Try incorporating strap pull ups to make use of a lot of your stabilisers but at the same time increase the isolation of the lats

A great middle ground between lat pulls and pull ups, definitely increases the difficulty with added weights
