Here in Kingston, Jamaica 🇯🇲 and what an overwhelming feeling to drive pass Emancipation Park on our way to Charlie Smith High School in Trench Town.
The park is in New Kingston, opened on 31 July 2002, the day before Emancipation Day. Prime Minister P.J. Patterson's address to open the park he acknowledged that the park is a commemoration of the end of slavery.
The six-acre park includes fountains and public art. The park is known for the large scuplutre Redemption Song at the park's main entrance. Redemption Song, which takes its name from Bob Marley's song of the same name, is an 11 ft. (approximately 3m) high bronze sculpture by Jamaican artist Laura Facey. The sculpture features a male and female figure gazing to the skies – symbolic of their triumphant rise from the horrors of slavery. The statue was unveiled in July 2003.

"La scelta di EF Academy Oxford è stata presa quando la realtà scolastica spagnola iniziava ad essermi stretta e quando ho capito che volevo davvero avere un'educazione internazionale. Una delle cose che mi mancano di più di EF Academy è il suo ambiente famigliare che ti faceva sentire parte di una grande famiglia dove si poteva interagire con chiunque."

It’a been a while since I’ve posted an Expat-Life Tip, but today I’m back with an important one: Finding Meaning and Purpose Abroad.
Whether it’s a job or entrepreneurial endeavour, a hobby, charity work, creating something artistic or raising your children to become strong, empowered and happy global citizens… Any activity that you look forward to, that can get you in a state of “flow” and provides meaning to you will not only increase your own happiness but will also allow you to leave your mark in this world.
Years ago, when I was living in Madrid - inspired by their unique fashion scene - I started a business making handmade fascinators for weddings (@camiqui.fascinators )
Today my work as a life coach keeps me busy and fulfilled!
There is so much inspiration for businesses and activities abroad that are just waiting for us to grab them and transform them into our own!
