There’s still sand boogers in my eyes, no makeup and pimples on my face but it is real and contains wonder and contentment and love for the tiny human growing inside of me.
These feelings didn’t all just happen the moment we found out we were expecting. At first there was shock, denial, excitement, a little horror and a phase of grief for losing a time of life that I wasn’t sure we were ready to change yet. Mix in some guilt for not feeling 100% joy at the exact moment I saw the huge “+” and 3 more pregnant tests (to confirm, ya know?) and you have our emotional rollercoaster of October 10th.
10 months of pregnancy is a good thing (and yes it’s 10 months- 40 weeks, not this “9 month” business 😋) because if a baby popped out the day after I got pregnant, he or she would have to see the shock and adjustment I went through instead of the pure and utter love Andy and I feel towards her now.
Honestly- I felt guilty even admitting this, much less posting it on social media- partially because I felt like I should be ecstatic from the get-go, and partially because I know so many people who want so desperately to have a baby and can’t, and have gone through so much to have one. But then I read another pregnant woman’s post on adjustment and realized that this is my story, and holds importance and truth and I’m definitely not alone in those feelings and thoughts. #pregnancy#11weekspregnant#latergram ⠀⠀ #ipreview via @preview.app
Caption this please! I literally spent 10 minutes trying to think of a “my face when” caption and I couldn’t do it lol .

Unlike most other shoes and items of menswear, the Oxford shoe has one principal defining characteristic: the lacing system. Sometimes people use the term Oxford to denote any smart lace up shoe, even those with open lacing, but that’s not how we will use the term in this guide.
First of all, it may seem obvious but an Oxford is a shoe with laces, and not a slip-on, monk strap shoe or Chelsea boot. Second, an Oxford shoe has a closed lace system vs. the open lace system of a Derby shoe. But what exactly does that mean? Let’s start with the basics. The uppers of an Oxford usually consist of the quarters and the vamp.
The next Movember, which is also known as No-Shave November, is still several months away. However, this does not mean that you should switch to a clean-shaven look, especially if you are interested in attracting the attention of a potential mate.
A scientific study conducted by the Official Journal of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society also indicated that specific types of facial hair have a major impact on how others perceive individuals with a beard.
