Test call for #Fairwyn_sweater is now open! 📣📣📣
If you're on my testers email list then check your inbox for your invitation. 😘
And if you're not on the list, but would like to test then click on the link in my profile to join ⬆️ (and then click on the link to join the testers list! 😋)
This time I'm trying out @yarnpond to see if it will make the process simpler and more enjoyable. Can't wait to get going and see what it's got to offer! 😀

  • Every time we move I get on the plane congratulating myself on finally have my stash packing situation sorted. I've finally prioritized to the point that any yarn I might need in the next couple months is in my suitcase and anything that I won't need is safely packed into our container to take a slow boat to our new home.⁣⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⁣⠀
About a month later, as a matter of course, I realize that I failed miserably. If anyone is interested, that was today.⁣ Our shipment probably won't be here for a month and this is what I have left: ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
1 partial skein of Arbor--which is totally useless to me at this point in time. I brought it to swatch for an upcoming multi-colored sweater but genius me neglected to pack the other colors.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
1 full skein of Tosh Sport--this is for a partially complete sample and will be gone by the end of the week. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⁣⠀
1 mystery cake--the bottom cake's tag has gone AWOL and I'm not even sure what it is anymore. It's from a new-to-me Indie Dyer that I picked up at an LYS in Ohio this summer when I was visiting my parents. @mainstreetyarns any idea what it is? It's DK weight and I think the colorway was called Ink Blot. I had planned to use it for a quick accessory.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
Moral of the story: I need to go shopping. ⁣⁣

  • My haul from my trip to Phoenix!😊 I stopped by the @tempeyarn store and got myself some @malabrigoyarn and @cascadeyarns for some more hat making or cowl making probably! Also snagged those little turquoise @kelmscottdesigns scissors! If you are in the area, I would highly recommend this store! Everyone is beyond helpful and so sweet!✨

  • It’s been slooooow going over here for the last week or so. With a few busy weeks coming up at work and spending this weekend in Boston with some family I haven’t gotten much knitting done. I did manage to separate the sleeves on my No Frills Sweater and it’s finally giving me motivation to work on the sweater again.

I have so much respect for all of you monogamous knitters, but I am definitely not ready to join your ranks. I need diversity in my knitting just like I need diversity in my schedule! I need easy projects for times when I’m out with friends and more challenging projects for when I’m having a quiet night in. Plus I’ve found if I force myself to only work on one project my inspiration and motivation magically disappears.

What about you? Are you a monogamous knitter or do you embrace the madness of multiple WIPs?

Yarn: @ontheround in Ring of Fire on Everyday Fingering and @knit_picks in Oat on Aloft Super Kid Mohair

Pattern: @petiteknit No Frills Sweater

  • Elsa Schiaparelli was an Italian designer in the 1930s who became known for her surprising, comical, and daring approaches to fashion. Working closely with artists of the day like Salvador Dali, Schiap reinvented haute couture and introduced many to the concept of dressing for fun or to make a statement, viewing the body as a perfect canvas for edgy art. She popularized the color of a vivid hot pink known as “shocking pink” when she used that color for the box that held her perfume, “Shocking”. This gorgeous colorway is my ode to her unique style and vivid, colorful designs!

  • Jeri is worked seamlessly from the top-down with long fitted drop sleeves. The texture pattern on the body is an easily-memorized two-row repeat.
