Let’s start this year off with a laugh....One of my hidden talents is accents...when I was growing up, one of the things I wanted to be was a stand up comedian...until I realized how much pressure it is to make people laugh all the time. So now I just entertain my team after a long work day and my kids at story time. Tell me, what is your hidden talent?

  • As of 2019 I have decided after assisting on set for over 7 years It is time I go from being an assistant on set to Becoming the hairstylist & makeup artist I've always dreamed of being. I've learned that if I keep saying yes people will continue to hire me but as the assistant- I will never be recognized as an artist, my day rate will never change to what I want & most importantly to what I deserve ! I decide No one is going to stand up for me like I will stand up for myself -it's time to take the next step on this journey. I have been in the business now since 2005 ,that's 14 years!! Since the age of 13 I always knew I wanted to one day do hair. My mom's friends owned a salon, we were there every weekend! At a very young age I started sweeping and answering the phones.. I always wanted to be the one to inspire people & make other people feel good about themselves. A little kind gesture can go a long way- You never know what somebody else is going through in their own personal life.
I've always dreamed of being a successful hairstylist. I not only did I dream ,I also took action .When I moved into the city is when I realized this whole other world of Hairstyling existed from TV to film ,to photo shoots . When I started assisting on editorial jobs is when my career started taking off & my dreams started becoming a reality. I remember I used to sometimes Send out over 200 emails a week trying to network with different agency& collaborate with different hair/make up artist. I learned it was very hard to get noticed without a good portfolio or online website ..but hey ,what did I know I was just a small town girl coming from upstate- working the salon life at that time.
I just wanted to get a change to work with some of the best and be inspired! I loved working on set for photoshoots-the energy walking into the building was so incredible.💕 Thank you for all the hair stylist and make up artist that I have worked with over the years that continued to motivate &inspire me. Especially @peterbutlerhair @adammaclay [ps I will Always be available to assist both of you😊💕] If there's one thing I'm willing to bet on, it's MYSELF 🥂
