[remember > lat. recordari, cor cordis ~ put in the hearth]
What are the moments of life that really matter?
I love photography, that like any other form of art, is able to recollect strong emotions. But I believe that only when we cherish an important moment in our own heart are we able to recall his memory, made of feelings, smells, noises and breathtaking views like this.
That famous village in #Lofoten .
In case you’re wondering - there were about 10 other photographers getting the shot from the bridge across the bay at that time (and it’s the low season right now).
I feel like there are no “regular” tourists here in winter, but only photographers. It you’re not running around with a tripod you’re basically an alien 😂.
Can’t blame them though - those islands are just so so photogenic. #norway

Moody sunset on an arctic beach... doesn’t really get much better... 🗻🌊👌😎
Finally a dream come true on my birthday of all days. We arrived in the Lofoten Islands last night and drove under the northern lights making countless stops to take pictures along the route to Svolvær. Seeing the aurora borealis has been on my bucket list for a long time now. Watching trillions of charged particles dance across the night sky is something that can only be understood by seeing it in person.

Saw this house last night in the middle of nowhere and had to pull over to take a picture. Can you imagine living in this cabin? In the dead of winter the sun disappears for over a month and in the middle of summer it never gets dark.

I was supposed to meet @kristoffervan at Værøy but looked at the wrong ferry timetable and ended up stuck in Reine that Sunday evening as the road north from Reine was closed. I kayaked alone in #Reinefjorden the whole night until early morning as it was midnightsun and a clear sky. This was one of my best kayaking trip in terms of getting good photos. I took the ferry to Verøy in the morning to meet Kristoffer.
