  • Tomorrow morning I’m leaving for 2 weeks to climb the two tallest peaks in Ecuador. I spent my last morning climbing high above Santa Monica and watched the sunrise fro up here. After 6 months of training I’m ready to head to South America and tackle these giants. The first is Cayambe at 18,000+ feet and the second is Cotopaxi at 19,000+ feet. I’ll be posting updates on my stories so stay tuned!

  • ❄️ i may be snowed in today, but it’s fine bc i did a @target run yesterday and got some essentials like @drinkorgain to make some yummy treats/shakes! honestly, the plethora of protein powder options can be overwhelming and I GET IT... so let me just share what I love about Orgain:
—
🔸 21g of plant-based protein per serving
🔸0g sugar, certified organic
🔸 great tasting (vanilla/chocolate!!)
—
so next time you’re looking for protein, be on the lookout for some deals on Cartwheel and in store! link in my bio ♥️
—
ps: i tried shoveling for the first time today + I could see why some people might not be a fan of snow 😅

  • With my first I only breastfed for 4 weeks, maybe. We struggled and I was young. I didn’t try too hard before switching over to formula. She was fed and ultimately that’s what matters most, but I knew I wanted this time to be different.
We, too, struggled a bit. Although Rory has never struggled latching, we have dealt with other challenges. We’ve had to figure out how to navigate a really heavy let down that resulted in lots of choking. I’ve had Mastitis and a clogged milk duct. She’s also struggled with tummy pains, LOTS of gas and reflux. We’ve tried many natural remedies as well as a medicated one. I’ve also been dairy free for 2 months now to help her tummy feel better. Which has been successful. However, that in and of itself is a HARD task, but I wanted to keep EBF so I’ve done whatever I’ve had to do. Even though my mother in law told me that my husband as a baby had a dairy intolerance and she switched to formula, I knew giving up wasn’t an option for me this time around.
I’ve done both formula and exclusively breastfeeding so I have zero judgement towards how a mother chooses to feed her precious baby. I know some women aren’t able to breastfeed no matter how much they want to and that breaks my heart.
But breastfeeding has been such a beautiful experience for me and I’m so thankful that my body has allowed me to fatten up my sweet, almost 3 month old who’s working her way towards 16lbs. 💞
Women’s bodies are so strong and beautiful the way God created them and I’m so thankful for mine. 😭

  • They watched their cousins move across the country and lost their great grandma all within a week; but today, today is for fun. I’m forever amazed by the strength of my girls. ✨

  • :: Sunday’s are for snow shoveling leggings, @smartwool socks, @blissandfaith stickers, sending good vibes to our Mikko (he went to the vet yesterday and had to stay 😽). We all miss him so I’m distracting myself with ☕️ and Being Serena on HBO while deep conditioning my hair.

  • Which way are you headed this week? Up, down, east, sideways, in a loop-di-loop, north, frontways, or backwards?
.
Which way does your week feel like it’s headed? Which way do you *want* it to head? You can’t get mad at the detours and the traffic if you didn’t tell us all where you were planning to head in the first place. You’re the only one with the map, after all.
