1. Don’t go grocery shopping hungry (then you’ll want to buy everything lol)

2. Make a list of the things you need

3. keep your grocery list to protein, veggies, good carbs and a few good fruits and avoid the junk food because if it’s at home you’ll want to eat it ☺️

Environmental factors that influence food choices.
Have you ever thought why do you eat what you eat? Well if you have a real deep look at it you will see that it is because of a few influences, here are some of them:
▪Economics - How much you can afford to spend? You may have “lobster taste” but a “hot dog budget.”
.
▪Lifestyle - Our fast-paced society has little time or patience for food preparation. Convenience foods, from frozen foods to complete meals “in a box,” fill supermarket shelves or are you part of a slow-paced society where you have more time for food, cooking etc.
.
▪Culture - One of the strongest influences on food preferences is tradition or cultural background. In all societies, no matter how simple or complex, eating is the primary way of initiating and maintaining human relationships. Have you heard the saying “One man’s food is another man’s poison”? To a large extent, culture defines our attitudes, when it comes to establishing someone’s food preferences, a good question would be “What is your ethnic background?”.

▪Religion - Food plays a major role in most religions and religious customs. Religious beliefs usually are learned early and can define certain dietary habits.
.
▪Learned Habits - Your eating and cooking habits likely reflect what you learned from your parents. We typically learn to eat three meals a day, at about the same times each day. Quite often we eat the same foods for breakfast and lunch. This routine makes life convenient, and we don’t have to think much about when or what to eat.
.
Food preferences really do begin early in life, and then change as we interact with parents, friends, and peers. Further experiences with different people, places, and situations often cause us to expand or change our preferences. 
Taste and other sensory factors such as texture are the most important things that influence our food choices; next are cost and convenience.
So what we eat really does reveal much about who we are.
