I used to think the steel clubs was just another gimmicky tool that just looked cool but didn’t provide any real benefits. After a few weeks of using them and learning about them I see know how WRONG I was. Working with the Steel Clubs provides a TON of benefits, many of which are similar to the the Steel Mace. They’re a perfect warm up for and progression to the Mace. The weight distribution of the Club helps improve the internal stabilizer muscles of the the core and especially the rotator cuff. They’re perfect for increasing the range of motion in the shoulder joint and rotator cuff which many people can benefit from. -
And as I learned today in @t_y_stone ’s kick ass teaching of new PT Screening, I personally have an anterior tilt of my shoulders (rounded shoulders) which means I need to strengthen my mid/lower traps, rhomboids, posterior delt and Rotator cuff. This will help pull my shoulders back to the midline of my torso and improve the range of motion in my shoulders as well as the overall health of the joint. The Clubs and Mace will play a huge part, along with other corrective exercises, that will help me correct this postural imbalance and improve the mobility of my shoulder. Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. -
