  • Like a scene from a movie. Every step you take down a trail in Sequoia is more mesmerizing than the next. This photo was taken after a a fresh snowfall and under a clear blue sky. The rising temperature combined with the sun made a rain like effect in the forest from the melting snow in the trees. It also made for a pretty spectacular display. 📸: @embracesomeplace

  • I don’t post monochrome images often, but I thought it was fitting to match the photograph with the gloomy mood of this particular day. I first edited this in B&W, which was pretty interesting because I was able to focus much better on the the way the light worked in the image, without having to get caught up in the distraction of color. I then cooled down the tones slightly for the result you see here. Sometimes color can make an image come to life, but in this case, it is its absence that does the same. Shot on the #NikonZ6 @NikonUSA
