Being a Son/Daughter is the first gift we ever receive. We get the Gift of Life, and also become a beautiful gift unto our parents as well. Then, to be called Brother, was a whole different type of Love and emotion, with a sense of responsibility knowing this younger sibling would have me to look up to. From there, all of the ups and downs, and all the battles I’ve had to face throughout my life, led me to a different kind of Love. They gave me the strength and the wisdom I needed to be a better man, who would truly be able to love his wife to the fullest. Being called Husband was one of the ultimate joys this world had to offer. But this.... This Joy.... this will be unlike any other. A Love so strong and powerful, that I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else but Mandy. A Love that I KNOW I’m ready for, because God knew I was ready for it. This will be the ultimate form of love, and there will be nothing in life that I’d rather be called more.... than Dad.
.Thank You Jesus for this Precious Gift. I promise to love and protect this child and guide it in the direction that YOU want them to go. My child will ALWAYS keep You in the center of their life, and they will be a voice of truth in an ever so dying world. It’s time to build an army of believers, for the next generations to come. So as for me and my family... we will serve the Lord. Amen
This little guy definitely loves the snow! We had so much fun playing in the snow today! He reminds me to enjoy these kind of days instead of be annoyed that it is snowing. I love being with him and watching him experience all these things. He finds fun no matter where he is and it’s a beautiful reminder that we make what we want out of a situation.
Welcome to A Year of Radiance Week 3!
This week is about connection.
My husband and I had lived in Brisbane essentially our entire lives when we moved our family to Bundaberg 3 years ago. It was definitely the right move for all of us, but it means we miss a lot of really important people in our lives. Whilst social media is great for keeping up with what is happening with people, I love keeping in contact with those I love in a much more personal way - with letters. Every now and then I will sit down and just pick a friend and let them know what’s up with us, and of course what is happening in their world. Often it will be around someone’s birthday so I might pop in a little gift as well, like a poem or a print ,something to let them know how much I care about them.
So how does this contribute to a more Radiant Life?
Good for you - Everyone is so “busy” these days - though why we glorify this concept I have no idea! By sitting down and taking the time to physically write something, it gives us a chance to be more mindful, not just in the moment but going forward. When we are letting others know what we have been doing, it really brings it into sharp focus whether we have been prioritising what is important to us or what the world expects of us.
Good for others - How beautiful to get something in your mail box that is not a bill or asking something from you, but someone showing their love for you! People so often feel isolated in the world these days, even when surrounded by people, so a little reminder that you are cared about from far away - what a gift!
Good for the environment - If you choose to, you can reuse paper items you already have around the house, rather than new letter paper. These pieces are from an old organiser, and seeing as I am posting some gifts with it, I am reusing a package envelope from Christmas. Remember just one reuse means half the rubbish! #ayearofradiance#letterwriting#liveyourbestlife#livearadiantlife#liveslowly#writealetter#communicate#mumlife#momlife#mummy#mommy#handwrittennotes#makesomeonefeelloved
