  • There was more to me than just being a “mom”... yep, come at me mom-shamers. ⠀

But really, let’s be honest. Being a stay home mom is the MOST rewarding job, but has also left me stressed to the T, higher anxiety, feeling alone, and wishing for more . And... IT IS OK to feel that way. ⠀

Being an entrepreneur is just the same... it isn’t for everyone. Takes a whole lot of patience, systems, willpower, time.
⠀
Put the two together and it can sometimes be a recipe for disaster. However, I get the best of both worlds. Staying home with my babes AND feeling a sense of purpose while building a successful business at home, chatting with like-minded babes daily, and getting some ME time and providing financially for our family. #WinWin⠀

As crazy as it can be, kids sometimes detour me from my personal goals, and mindfully how smart I have to be with time... it allows me to make an impact in this word by helping others find the balance between life, business, and health. It truly keeps me accountable and boosts my confidence in more ways than I could have ever imagined. ⠀

Because I said yes, because I took a leap of faith, because I was tired of feeling sick and tired... I am a better mom, a better wife, a better mentor. I get to work in pockets of my day and then go be present when my kids need MY time and attention. The mom guilt carry’s no more.⠀

I share this to let you mama’s out there know, if you’re feeling a sense of wanting more... you are NOT alone. This may not be for all of us Mama’s BUT there is NO SHAME in creating what YOUR heart desires. ❤️

  • Can somebody please come deck out my kitchen someday! 😂 Did this for Milan today as I am on a the procrastination boat.. and I’m barely rowing along. 😆 I was at Target an hour before they closed getting last minute goodies! Was this you this year too?

  • Vegas, I was hesitant to love you at first because I don’t gamble and yoga pants are about as fancy as I get on the weekends, but you proved me wrong and made me love you. The foodie in me loved all the different restaurants we ate at and the people watching was top notch!

We made memories, took naps, ate good food, saw a show, and enjoyed catching up with each other. We even made a few new friends, Alan and Carlos were our favorites.

As we began packing our bags this morning for the airport and talking about our fun weekend, I got a reminder email to register for our next kid free vacation to Punta Cana. We were SO excited because this was a trip I won for my side hustle by helping women reach their health and wellness goals. I still teach full time, but because I found a way to work in small pockets of time to keep myself accountable and help others on their wellness journey, I get incentives like free trips.

Fellow teachers, we didn’t go into our profession for the money, so when I earn incentives like all expense paid trips, I need someone to pinch me because this never seemed like a reality for me.

Last year, I took my husband to Mexico, now I get to treat him to another trip to Punta Cana. All because I said yes to becoming the best me. All because I needed extra accountability for myself on my own health and wellness journey.

I was afraid I would fail, afraid I didn’t have enough followers, afraid I wasn’t reliable, afraid I didn’t know enough, and most importantly afraid of what others would think.

I remind myself often of all that I would have missed out on if I didn’t push myself to try something new, even though I wasn’t sure if I would succeed. Kid free vacations are essential for marriages. It’s a time to reconnect, rest and relax together. It makes our marriage stronger and it’s good for our kids to have time with their grandparents.

We are coming back from this weekend with full hearts and the countdown has already begun for Punta Cana. All because I took a chance on something that seemed unconventional.   • Dear body, thank you for carrying me through this work out. Thank you for bringing two beautiful babies into this world.   • I’ve conquered many fears this weekend. 
Hiked to the top of Devil’s Bridge and actually walked out to the most narrow part of it. 
Not gonna lie...I almost passed out. 
Drove a UTV up and back down the side of a mountain. (See video)
Not gonna lie...almost peed my pants. 
Conquering your fears and living life. 
Not gonna lie...it was simply amazing! 🙌💕

  • This is the move I was doing last week when I fell and hurt my ankle. Falling is a fear of mine since my injury but I was a lot slower and more aware of my movements this morning when doing it. Also, showing you guys what happens when I miss 4 days of workouts. Practice and consistency is really key to being successful. I tried twice and both times was a fail on that split, but I have tomorrow. I also have grace. When you’re recovering from an illness take that time to let your body heal even if it’s a slow start to getting back at it again. Get your Monday!

  • Today in my stories I’m doing a quick run down of what I do at nap time to set us up for a successful afternoon. This picture just makes me happy to cut out all these fun colors! They are a free printable from @funwithmama To help with practicing cutting for little ones. I’m currently building Miss H’s box. 
Not going to lie my afternoon goes 3 ways, 1. I nap! 2. I clean then read. Or 3. What I am doing in the stories. Normally it’s an even mix of all three throughout the week. 
What do you do during nap time, or to set your day up for success?

Comment a été ta semaine? La mienne bof...j’ai été malade, Rebecca est malade et dort siii mal et au travail...on en parlera même pas 😆!!! Tsé ce genre de semaine là que c’est JUSTE TROP!!!

En espérant que de te parler de comment je me sens, ces phrases pourront aller rejoindre quelques personnes et ça ferait mon plus grand bonheur. ••
Le travail prend beaucoup de place et il pourrait en prendre plus. Mais je me suis dit NON!!! NON parce que je sens que je manque de patience pour mes propres enfants sinon et que je manque d’énergie pour faire ce que j’aime. On l’a vécu en 2018 de laisser tomber des passe-temps pour les performances au travail et bien ça ne fonctionne pas longtemps..malheureusement!! Je suis très tentée le soir de faire plus de planification, de préparation et remplir plus de formulaire dûs à certaines situations. ••
Est-ce que ça changerait vraiment les choses? NON! Alors, j’ai appris en 2018 et je choisis l’ÉQUILIBRE. Dès que j’entre à la maison, je m’occupe de ma famille, quand les filles dorment je m’occupe de moi en m’entraînant et j’essaye de me coucher tôt. Je laisse le ménage qui reste et certaines tâches de côté. NOT GUILTY!! ••
Que serais-tu prête à laisser de côté pour vivre l’équilibre, pour garder des moments pour toi et des passe-temps que tu aimes ?

I want them to seek nature as a source of inspiration and healing rather than turning to less healthy ways of coping with life's struggles.
