Mentorship | How many of you have a mentor? I believe strongly in peer mentorship but also learning from those who came before you. There is also something to be said about people who aren’t “mentors” per se, but you learn a lot from. Tag some bad-ass women who inspire and motivate you to want to be more and do more. Science has proved that happiness is within our control and a choice we can all make!
Although #happiness and positive vibes begin with ourselves, many of us depend on external factors to create and determine our happiness as opposed to relying on ourselves… 👀
👇Here’s how to protect your positive vibes:
✔️Don’t seek other people’s approval or validation.
✔️Don’t compare themselves with others.
✔️Don’t talk negatively about themselves.
✔️Don’t depend on others for their happiness.
Happy Hump Day 😁. Just when you think you’ve got things under control it gets crazy. Phone lines crashing at the office, sales rep were are dealing with just “disappears”. You never know what life will throw you next. 😂*
I find what keeps me grounded is sticking to my routine no matter what.*
💪 Gym everyday no matter what. Working out is essential. If you don’t use your muscle you will lose them.*
🥘 Eating healthy well balanced meals everyday. Vegetables, protein, and healthy complex carbohydrates. And my trusty protein shakes also 🤣*
🧪Only the best in skincare and anti aging. I only use high quality medical grade treatments and products that I’ve tested myself or a trusted colleague has recommended. There is too much “garbage” out there.*
What should I post about next! Give me some ideas 💡

One of my favorite stories is about a Roman named Gaius Mucius. An Etruscan king named Porsenna was attacking Rome and his troops had surrounded the city. The Roman senators gave Gaius permission to sneak into the Etruscan camp to kill Porsenna but Gaius killed Porsenna's secretary by mistake. Porsenna's bodyguards caught him and brought him to the king and this is what Gaius said: "I am Gaius Mucius, a citizen of Rome. I came here as an enemy to kill my enemy, and I am as ready to die as I am to kill. We Romans act bravely and, when adversity strikes, we suffer bravely. Nor am I the only one who feels this way; behind me stands a line of those who seek the same honour." When he said this Porsenna threatened to burn him alive. Gaius responded by thrusting his own hand into the fire and as his hand burned, he said: "Look upon me and realize what a paltry thing the body is for those who seek great glory." Porsenna said if he was a member of his own tribe he would commend him for his bravery. Then he said an envoy to Rome offering peace terms.
Isn't it crazy what just one person is capable of doing? Don't doubt that you have the ability and potential to make an impact. Go out there and do it. Might not be negotiating peace between two countries and it won't happen overnight but you can still make a mark and leave a legacy. Take the risk. Take the gamble. Take the first step. 💪👍 ------------- #thewayofmen#rome#love#wednesdaymotivation#life#courage#virtue#romans#motivation #inspiration#dedication#perspiratio#litigation #nowimjustrhymingrandomwords
