In our modern lives, humans are often overstimulating certain senses, both ends of this spectrum can lead to dysfunction if left unchecked. How you respond to a situation will either help you build on your soul and character, or diminish and limit it. The Soul plays a big part in our motivation as it helps guide us towards success and away from failure. Like our analogy with the car, it is the job of the driver (soul) to get the car(body) to its destination. Being present, receptive, and responsive to the constant ups and downs of a health journey is crucial to long term success. An absence of purpose can create problems with consistency by taking away the active element of healthy habits. If you are driving yourself towards a goal without a purpose, you'll find yourself burning out sooner or later. With purpose, your actions will be engrained into your nervous system (your mind), further cementing your connected to your body and self. .
