I’m quite enjoying working with textures and double images to create new art. When I can’t get out in the studio, this is certainly the next best thing.

  • “Riding the Storm”
acrylic on canvas
30” x 40”

In the early 1800s, the county was a collection of vast ranchos, or ranches.
A cluster of trees or prickly pear cactus often marked boundaries, chaos ensued in later years when land patents were in dispute.
Ranchos had more than just cowboys they also employed washerwomen, winemakers, woolcombers, tanners, a dressmaker, shoemakers, a carpenter, blacksmith, a cook and a baker. Indians who left declining missions worked on the ranchos as poorly paid cowboys, ranch hands and servants.
In those days, Cattle outnumbered people. Those roaming the hillsides were rounded for their rodeo and fiesta. Beef was not a valued commodity, hides were often offered as trade.
While the ranchos are now gone, their Spanish names endure today in the community names of Santa Ana, La Habra, Mission Viejo etc.

  • Looking to Get my verification!
But I need your help promoting my art. As some of you know I donated a gaint Dragon sculpture to the Anchorage public library not to long ago that is now hanging in the kids book section. Well turns out you need a little Notoriety to get verified. So if you could, Please please please! Help me out by Making mention of this to the local press. It would be super awesome of you & I would help me to afford being able to give away more of my art to charity in the community! Help me build my artistic empire and become a knight at the round table of my paint palette. Haha.
