Look who I met today: A young zebu. Zebus are much better adjusted to tropic climate than cows like Swiss Brown or Holstein. This little friend was very curious and friendly. Unfortunately they were grazing in the middle of a lot of plastic garbage. Cows are not very selective in choosing their food. Eating plastic can seriously harm their health, which made me. Very sad. Plastic waste is a serious problem in 3rd world countries, we really should do sth about it and be very conscious in our use of plastic things in our daily life.
Chaat is an Indian street food and feels like the main purpose of my existence right about now 😇😍(except I can’t handle it straight from the streets anymore 🙈) This is ‘Sev Puri’ with fried whole wheat flour cracker like thingies topped with boiled and spiced potatoes, tamarind, mint and cilantro chutneys, deep fried lentil flour threads (sev), chopped red onion and fresh cilantro. It’s crunchy, spicy, sour, sweet, salty and just plain DELICIOUS and I don’t think I can ever get enough. Best eaten with your hands (ignore the fork in this pic which was included for aesthetic IG purposes only 😉) #india#streetfood#spices#spiceupyourlife | #spicespicebaby

Spot hitter 101. Roasted toms tho, like unami-rammed hand grenades. For your mouth. 👌🏽 #umami
#barwars started several years ago in defiance of foiled and boxed bars that use more packaging than actual food, I’m looking at you #clifbar 👀 It’s infuriating to open a bar half the size of the box it came in. ⁉️ You’d think those colorful packages were designed to appeal to busy parents and picky kids. 🛍 So I was pretty surprised when I discovered just how easy it is to make your own bars and how much my kids 💕 them! It’s become a pleasant Sunday evening ritual to mix a new and different batch for their school snacks for the week, and they think I’m amazing for doing it. Once you taste fresh, it’s hard to eat whatever is in the processed variety, and you’re not using unrecyclable foil and laminated wrappers. 🌱
What’s more, the bar industry has ratcheted up our convenience, wasteful lifestyle by pushing so much of this product out there under the guise of being “healthy”, which few, if any actually are. Seen here: blended oats, almonds, dates, fresh blueberries, unsweetened applesauce, cinnamon, vanilla and honey, that’s all!
