  • No matter what kinda day I’ve had (and trust me, today was pretty bad) there’s one rule I always follow - I never skip a Monday.

Studies have shown, and I’ve proved to myself over and over again, that by starting the week strong you’re far more likely to finish it that way too..not to mention exercise releases endorphins and endorphins make you HAPPY - what better way to get over the Monday blues 😜

A decent shoulder workout done tonight - decided to treat myself to my favourite session + @gatsupplements stim-free PMP ‘cause there’s not much a wee shoulder pump doesn’t fix 🙃

  • Thank you cards made and written by Mr 11 thanking everyone for his birthday money and a birthday card for Nana by Mr 13 😁

I try and keep a small stock of blank cards and stickers which I buy from The Warehouse when they are cheap or on clearance. I do buy there $1 birthday cards but when thanking someone I think it should be homemade, pity the postage costs more than the card..like 3 times more 😡
Another thing ticked off the to do list before school starts 😁

How is everyone’s day/week going??

  • Framed in foliage, that's Lake Matheson, which, on a good day, would reflect Mount Cook and Mount Tasman in the background--however, on this particular day I visited, both peaks were covered in cloud. Mount Cook is called Aoraki in the Maori language, and it is an especially sacred mountain for the Ngai Tahu, the principal iwi (tribe) of southern New Zealand. As per @purenewzealand, to Ngāi Tahu, Aoraki represents the most sacred of ancestors, from whom Ngāi Tahu descend and who provide the iwi with its sense of communal identity, solidarity and purpose. The ancestor embodied in the mountain remains the physical manifestation of Aoraki, the link between the supernatural and the natural world.
And while I, as a tourist, may complain about Aoraki being covered in cloud, the Maori tell me to, well, shut up, sit down, and be humble. The saying 'he kapua kei rungai i Aoraki, whakarewa whakarewa' (the cloud that floats aloft Aoraki, for ever fly, stay aloft) refers to the cloud that often surrounds Aoraki. Aoraki does not always 'come' out for visitors to see, just as a great chief is not always giving audience, or on 'show'. It is for Aoraki to choose when to emerge from his cloak of mist, a power and influence that is beyond mortals, symbolising the mana (power) of Aoraki.
