“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” -Melody Beattie. ———————————————————————— Yesterday marked my 2 year anniversary. If you asked me 2 years ago if I would be able to hike the narrows, I would have burst into tears for the fear of never recovering. for the fear of never being able to hike, explore, travel deep into nature. I still have bad days...really bad days...but I look back at all those days I had, how I recovered, and how I still continued to hike. I am so thankful for everything that I have still been able to accomplish, which gives me hope for all that I will conquer in the future. Here’s to finding a cure! ———————————————————————— #anniversary#chronicillness#madestrong#thankful#motivation#outdoors#optoutside#onewithnature#zion#thenarrows
All kinds of happy about the hike today.
The sky was amazing—partly cloudy after the rain during sunset made for some solid lighting and backgrounds. Everyone I encountered on the hike today was nice, and the sunset was fire.
This was one of those “what’s the closest hike I can do because the sky is always amazing after a rain” days. They’re always worth it.
'The Dream of Gaia'
Passing above hills and streams.
Lush fields amassed wafting with fragrant moss.
Pools of water form between granite enclaves.
The sound of trickling cold fluid slips between cracks,
pools feeding one another.
Traversing in stepped pattern the mountain’s descent.
Clouds amass crowding deep blue sky.
A cool breeze drops from the shallow hill tops.
Grasses move, welcoming the breeze and pointing the way downward.
There is a shift and shutter amidst the rocks and water.
A figure materializes from the land.
Lying in contour to the soft mossy surface at the base of a rock.
Pressed into the fertile surface.
Reaching up small mushroom tendrils surround the form.
Welcoming, seeding back to Earth.
Slowly the figure melds into the tundra.
Whispering our coexistence.
One with nature.
What I looking at is the waterfalls which the water flowing down to the rivers. But What I see is the life itself will keep going no matter the obstacles is. All emotions come through the life, sorrowful, happiness, sadness and enjoyment is just like flowing water going through the cycle of life. What I looking for is not only the waterfall, Its the life and death.

Spectacular clouds and hints of rainbows 🌈.. There was a red tail hawk soaring right above me and it was one of those moments in nature when I felt 100% connected to it all. Stopping long enough to just BE in these moments and allowing the magic to fill every part of my body and soul.. simply a wonderful time in nature (and a kick ass hike 😋)! #thehealinghiker#magicclouds#onewithnature#rainbowsandsilverlinings
