#tbt to our pallet wall project for our master bedroom. This wall had a wallpaper mural on it and before the house was sold, they had painted OVER it...horribly. There were seams and large paint runs everywhere. So, I made the joke that rather than rip out the drywall and replace it, I would rather just cover it with pallet wood. So,we did. Pallet wall completed! This took me sometime to finish. Finding HT pallets was a chore and finding ones that look good but have a little ware and tare on them was a challenge. Glad the way it came out.
You guys are AWESOME! Thank you to all who watched my stories last night & sent suggestions on how to make my 2 signs look better/what to do on our wood wall above our bed. I’m searching for the perfect thing that doesn’t cover much of the wood but since I haven’t found that, I decided to ‘shop my own home’ for a cheap temporary fix! I put 2 DIY’d signs that I’m no longer using in our bathroom on nails that were already on the wall & with some sprucing up I think it could work! ALOT of you said to add a wreath, a few said a shelf, other ideas were: metal wall decor, upholstered headboard, picture of us, iron bed frame, piece of art, something round, mirror or mirror window.💡All such GREAT IDEAS! Now time to see what I can do for cheap since I’m not totally sold on those signs staying there forever. THANKS AGAIN!🤗

So the wraps I make do not come in a bow and don’t ever need to be put in a bow (I know most adults aren’t trying to wear a bow on the top of their head like I am lol), but you can wrap them around your pony or a top knot bun!
Reclaiming the Pallets!
Here is that lovely pallet wood after going through the the process of hand sanding and grinding to take off the burrs and splinters and grime. There's nothing worse than someone running their fingers along your new reclaimed accent wall or fireplace or furniture and getting a sliver. So I like to smooth them down before the aging stages.
