AM SKINCARE ROUTINE ☀️
For years, I used a gel cleanser (my faves: @isclinical Cleansing Complex & @larocheposay Toleriane Gentle Cleanser). In 2017, I found #BiologiqueRecherche Lait VIP O2 and fell in love w/ this milky cleanser: gentle & hydrating yet super-efficient! Since I started using milk- over gel-cleansers, I noticed less breakouts and less dehydration lines. That being said, I still reach for a gel- or clay-based cleanser, occasionally 😉
VitC serum: #paulaschoice C15 Booster - serum w/ 15% L-ascorbic acid + Ferulc acid + VitE. There are several VitC derivatives but I see better results w/ daily use of L-AA (LAA has been shown to boost collagen production, fade dark spots, even skin tone, improve firmness & protect from oxidative stress). [optional: 5-min break while I drink my coffee]
3️⃣ HYDRATE +
Before applying my hydration serum, I mist my face ( #niod Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist offers hydration & antioxidants) and follow w/ 1 of the following combos:
a) #HadaLabo Gokujyun Lotion (my fave watery hydration serum after #niod MMHC) mixed w/ #rejuvi Flavanoid Complex (gloopy dark yellow serum rich in flavanoids)
b) #HadaLabo mixed w/ a dollop of #Skinoren (20% azelaic acid cream - courtesy of @beauty_unplugged )
I love lightweight moisturizers - CeraVe PM lotion has been a fave for years but for the past 2 months I’ve been using #AlliesofSkin Molecular Multi-Nutrient Day Cream* (gifted) and I’m so impressed! From fermented extracts to probiotics, this formula is a joy to read & use: ceramides, humectants, caffeine, niacinamide, licorice root extract, fermented black tea extract, Lactobacilus ferment, green tea extract, squalane, Zinc PCA, superoxide dismutase, peptides - all combined in a lightweight formula hosted in practical pump-tube 🙌🏻
5️⃣ PROTECT #paulaschoice Super-light Daily Wrinkle Defense - Broad Spectrum SPF30 is my fave sunscreen (great texture & works so well under makeup) but I wish it had higher sun protection. For higher a broad spectrum, I reach for @skinceuticals Mineral Radiance, @kravebeauty Beet The Sun or @biodermafrance Photoderm Max.

🌹 #PaulasChoice Radiance Renewal Mask! Despite using this more or less on the daily for 2 years, I still haven’t reviewed this staple!
💸 Cost: £35/$36 for 50ml/1.fl.oz but Paula’s Choice regularly have 15-20% discounts.
🔍 What it does/Formula: an overnight ‘sleeping mask’ (or can be used as a moisturiser, as I do) featuring brightening agents (Niacinamide, Arbutin, Bearberry Extract and MAP - a stable form of Vitamin C) to target skin tone/pigmentation. The mask comprises of film formers + dimethicone to form a barrier and reduce TEWL and so an excellent option for combo-oily skins. It’s a light gel-cream but does form a decent barrier - not cloying nor is it too rich. It’s very similar to the PC brightening essence in regards to the brightening agents, but in a different format, if you prefer creamier textures. I use both + usually alternate AM/PM.
🔍 How I use it: As a moisturiser, sometimes in the AM + others in PM, as the last step in my routine. In the PM, I’ll mix it with 1-2 drops of a facial oil to negate the slight tackiness.
🔍 Results: I first introduced this 2 years ago when I initially started using Differin, as my usual moisturiser wasn’t nourishing enough to negate the side effects. As with most moisturisers, I was anticipating breakouts but I’ve had great success with this. I saw quite a significant difference when I first introduced this! Partly, (I presume) because redness + dehydration were reduced with the effects of Niacinamide, which I previously didn’t have in my routine, but also because my skin was finally being adequately moisturised (which would happen with any sufficient moisturiser). However, I did continue to see significant improvements beyond the instant gratification, particularly with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne fading at a much quicker rate. Since then, this simply never fails me. I can use it in every season, day or night. It doesn’t exacerbate oil production, plays well with most products (I find makeup can pill though) + it’s my go-to whenever my skin is throwing a tantrum. I’ve been through probably 8-10 bottles in the past two years, which is a testament to how much I love it. (Continued)
Retinol 💊 Vitamin C 🍊 Ceramides 💦 These are a few of our favorite ingredients when it comes to making an impact on stubborn signs of aging such as crows feet, dark circles and dull skin. We have lots of products that include them, including the ones above. Which is your favorite?
Tonight's #321Skin Method 🔬
◾STEP 1 - CLEANSE: #CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
1.5 pumps massaged into damp skin and removed with water and a flannel. I can't see myself ever wanting to be without a bottle of this fantastic jelly cleanser! You can find a more in-depth review on the blog (link is in my profile ☝🏻)
◾STEP 2 - TREAT: #FirstAidBeauty Facial Radiance Pads
I've recently opened these and truth be told, been staying away from them as I fear that my skin has been hating glycolic acid lately. I don't know what it is, but I find that my skin is always so much worse 2-3 days after I use a glycolic, but I'm aiming to keep an eye on this before I rule out the ingredient completely.
◾STEP 3 - HYDRATE: #PaulasChoice Clinical Firming Moisturiser
I'm on the fence about this product. I love the ingredients, but feel like I don't enjoy the formulation right now, despite being a lightweight lotion (which I usually love). SAP is the 2nd ingredient, which must be at a high enough % to leave this product with the metallic vitamin C scent, which I must admit, is not a favourite of mine. Time will tell how I get on with this night cream!

Loving my new Gourmia fridge. Serums, eye creams and sheet masks feel amazing on my skin. However, I would like a basket in the door for additional storage.

It has been snowing all day so I thought I'd do something different for my 2/17 #skincareroutine post! This fluffy snow made for a lovely #snowfie .
Good evening routine! I’m using the @drlevyofficial 3 Deep ❤️ as a mask tonight. I wasn’t sure of it at first but actually it’s so versatile and so effective. I like how you don’t need much and it really works without over stripping your skin. I prefer to use this as a mask over a wash so it has more contact time with the skin. Skin feels so clean after!
Our new eye cream is already getting five star reviews: "My under-eyes are no longer puffy – they actually look more filled-in/less sunken looking. I've never had these kinds of results before and I'm honestly more than a little shocked. I hope it keeps working!" 💜

🗑Skincare empties🗑 ✨ #purederm Collagen Eye Zone Masks: Have another pack I’m working on & would repurchase!
✨ #paulaschoice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid: Would repurchase!
✨ #clinique Pep-start SPF 50: Lightweight & nice under makeup but it leaves a cast on my deeper skin tone so I won’t repurchase! ✨ #boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel: Would Repurchase! One of my fave cleansers💙
✨ #kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate: I want to purchase the full size!💙
This is my PM routine whenever I use a BHA, which tends to be around x1 a week as a preventative treatment. This routine focuses on minimising any potential irritation or dehydration, especially since I upped my Retinol usage!
💧No make-up so today is a single cleanse with #ISClinical Cleansing Complex. A low-pH gel cleanser with willow bark + sugar cane (natural sources of Salicylic + Glycolic Acid) to remove oil and unwanted debris without stripping the skin. My favourite gel cleanser that I just can’t put down!
💧 Exfoliate with an all time fave: #PaulasChoice 2% BHA Skin Perfecting Liquid. Swiped on with a cotton pad, focusing on the T-Zone and on any breakouts. Salicylic Acid will always be my favourite due to its oil-solubility, making it inherently more effective than AHA’s at targeting breakouts. I also love that BHA doesn’t increase sun sensitivity - so I can use all year round.
💧 Mist with #ISClinical Copper Firming Mist - this is a newbie. I’m totally loving everything I’ve tried so far from IS Clinical + so decided to finally pick this up! It’s main ingredients are 1% Copper PCA (soothing + regulates sebum) + 1% Fermented Resveratrol (soothing + anti-oxidative properties). My only complaint so far is the inclusion of blue dye! 😫
💧 A mixture of my current favourite hydrating serum ( #DrunkElephant B Hydra) + my favourite essence: #PaulasChoice Brightening Essence. It’s a silicone free, water-light formula comprised of a complex of Arbutin, Ascorbyl Glucoside (stable form of Vit C), Niacinamide + Acetyl Glucosamine (one clinical study suggests when combined their effect on pigmentation was greater), and Licorice, Mulberry and Uva Ursi extracts, all of which have brightening abilities. The essence is a gentle + non-invasive way to target pigmentation + uneven skin tone. I’m struggling to use L-AA serums right now with increasing my use of Retinol and this has been a perfect substitute! I’ll be reviewing the B Hydra very soon!
💧 Seal it all in with my favourite #DrunkElephant Protini - a Peptide and HGF rich moisturiser that is insanely nourishing + restorative. My skin has never been so resilient. I reviewed it a month or two ago! ❤️

What’s your favorite toner?
I love this milky, moisturizing formula by @paulaschoice. So many toners have sensitizing alcohols, witch hazel, and fragrance in them, I never really bothered with them before. But with fatty acids and antioxidants to improve skins barrier, this one leaves my skin looking a lot more hydrated. Will deffo keep repurchasing 💋
Hope everyone has a great Monday! I’ll be spending mine job and apartment hunting 🇬🇧

Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner
The claims: a lightly hydrating toner that helps to balance oilier skin, tackling blackheads and acne, while reducing redness and inflammation.
What’s good: fragrance free, cruelty free, nice enough to use, great when you need to do a super quick routine and slap on a moisturer afterwards (plenty of evenings like that lately 😆🤱🏻😴) Lovely ingredients like niacinamide, ceramides and vitamin c.
What’s not so good: I didn’t find it particularly hydrating 🤷🏻♀️
So even though that’s not it’s main claim, I probably won’t rush to rebuy this once I’m through as I’ve other products for pores / redness / inflammation I can use #skincarebeauty#discoverunder2k#discoverunder3k#paulaschoice#paulaschoiceskincare#paulaschoicetoner#skincarepicks#skincareproducts

🔎 #PaulasChoice 10% Niacinamide Booster
💰 SGD43 for 20ml on PC website (got it during BF sales- U.P. SGD61, ouch)
📦 Opaque dropper bottle, plus it also has a bottle restrictor insert to prevent leakage ✨
🌸 None added, of course. It’s PC. 😅
⏳ 2.5 months, really no idea how much is left 😅
⏰ PM- About 20-30 minutes post acid exfoliation
🤔 I had missed using niacinamide a LOT after the one from The Ordinary ran out. Even though it wasn’t the most elegant formulation, I appreciated the benefits. @inpursuitoftofu recently did a comparison of both, and I agree wholeheartedly with it.
PC’s is a lightweight, watery consistency to TO’s thick gloopy mucus. For once, I’ll take the pricier version- gleefully. Of course, it’s also jammed packed with so many other lovely ingredients, so I definitely feel I’m getting more bang for my buck.
You only need a few drops for your whole face, so the 20ml feels a lot more than it is. And you’d be able to use this AM or PM, no issues with pilling here- this is awesome for layering. 🥳
🛒 Oh yes. Til the end of time.
Swipe 👈🏼 to see more pictures, including the ingredient list!
Anyone have other niacinamide recommendations? 😆
Hola mi amor!!! Trying to enjoy this stay home Monday☺️ How are you?!.
The last time I showed you my physical exfoliants stash, here’s my chemical exfoliant stash (I didn’t include my acid exfoliating serums and masks) just toners.
In the summer, I use exfoliating toners day and night but this winter, I use acid toners every other morning but still use them every night and I do use acid (exfoliating) serums nightly too. These are pretty gentle so I don’t get any issues like skin sensitivity or redness , irritation or anything relating to over exfoliation 😉.
I’m guessing we all know the importance of exfoliating by now and the different types of chemical exfoliants, (if you don’t, shoot me a dm or leave your questions in the comment section 😉) I mostly use glycolic, lactic (AHA) and salicylic acid (BHA). In the mornings I rotate my @kravebeauty kale toner and @paulaschoice 2% Bha liquid (review is on this page if you scroll down), at night, I rotate the @urbanskinrx clear and even tone pads(this has glycolic, lactic and Salicylic acid and works great), @biologique_recherche_usa lotion p50 Pigm 400 and recently added the @katesomerville liquid exfolikate and so far, I’m loving it.
Do you use exfoliating toners? What’s your fav?! Have you tried any of these? Have any questions about any of these posted?! Talk to me!!.

You guys always ask for more @paulaschoice recommendations. The Defense Essential Glow moisturizer SPF 30 is a really good choice for darker skin types, especially if you are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and/or are bothered by chemical sunscreens. The cast on this mineral sunscreen fades impressively fast. In addition to good uva/uvb coverage, it also contains anti inflammatory licorice root and niacinamide. These also provide some defense against hyperpigmentation and redness. I am not impressed with the kiwi extract, which add a subtle aromatic undertone to this otherwise fragrance free sunscreen. I can’t predict how this will go for sensitive/rosacea skin, but mineral spfs are usually a better choice. This does not pill up at all, however it is a bit on the greasy side, rather than matte, so if you are oily you may be put off by that. It is pretty expensive imo, but for those of you PC enthusiasts, I am sure you can leverage a sale and Ebates to get the price down to your budget. #skincare#sunscreen#pcdefense#paulaschoice#crueltyfree#drdray#LTKbeauty#LTKunder50#liketkit

I've been disappointed with high-end products lately, but I finally found my #holygrail . I should have tried #AHA sooner, I know, and even though there're plenty of more affordable AHA choices, once #PaulasChoice reached my heart, why would I change that?
I use it 3 times a week, 4 pumps (of the #minisized bottle) each time, and it lasted for 1 and a half month, I just got a new fullsize one this morning. I apply it all over my face, and follow up with nothing, because it will peel up no matter what. But it turn out to be the perfect way, at least for me, as I feel my skin smooth enough with no need for extra hydration. I was hopeless with all those sheetmasks at the beginning of the winter when the texture of the skin couldn't be improved, but that was because I was not enlighted with this gentle yet magical #glycolicacid . Now all the drying patches are gone, and I no longer have to bother much with those congestive bumps. It also has 0.5% #BHA , which affects nothing to those sebaceous filaments, but I still believe this is the weapon defending my face from breaking out like 2 years ago. I am also very optimistic that being loyal to this treatment will keep milias and freckes under my eyes from showing up more.

Yellow – orangey mood for a sunny day. Some things I really like and some that are just OK (or not at all). I started using Nestosyl recently on itchy and quite irritated skin after a recommendation of a beautician I really trust. Feels very soothing, the pramocaïnehydrochloride takes away the itch, lanoline and vaseline cover and protect the skin, and 10% zinc oxide helps to heal the skin. I use it as an occasional spot treatment and the next morning skin definitely looks less inflamed.
I won Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum in a giveaway a while ago. I’ve used it for a week in November. I’d really like to use a good vitamin C serum, but unfortunately my skin and this serum don’t get along very well. Not sure whether it’s the 15 percent THD ascorbate or whether it’s the sweet orange oil that sets of the reaction, but I’m not too keen to repeat it. Not sure what to do with this now. Anyone any ideas?
Skinoren 20%. With the cold weather in the last weeks I’ve used this a bit less. Normally I use this AM a few times a week over a hyaluronic acid serum (to make it easier to spread). On my cheeks I think this helped with pigmentation. Break-outs got a bit better, but the Differin I’m using now seems to get even better results.
I sort of like Heliocare 360 Gel Oil-free SPF 50 – especially looking at the sunscreen filters - but somehow I never use it and reach for another SPF most days. I think it’s because it feels quite sticky on my skin. It might be better without any serums underneath it?
I received Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster in a gift bag at a PR event a while ago. I like the texture, I like the idea of peptides, but I’m not frequently using it. Probably because my most pressing skin concerns have to do with preventing and healing breakouts, and strengthening my skin barrier. There are only so many products one can use in a routine.
I use Egyptian Magic often as a PM lip balm, but it’s also good to protect and soothe irritations. Cute pot, even though it’s small it will last me a long time.
What's the difference between our Omega+ Complex Serum and Moisturizer? 🤷♀️⠀
Ingredient-wise, aside from the same key Omega Complex, the Moisturizer has additional amino acids and soothing antioxidants to make skin supple, while the Serum contains vitamins C and E (great for brightening). The products are designed to layer for maximum hydration. ⠀
Texture wise, the Serum is a light lotion suitable even for oily skin types, while the Moisturizer is a whipped cream better suited for those with dry or oily dehydrated skin! Both products are silicone-free and perfect for extremely sensitive skin. ⠀
Which one are you dying to try? 🤩 #linkinbio ⠀
