Hi 👋🏼Its been a while, but I’ve been taking social breaks every couple of weeks. Taking these social media breaks where I completely delete the app has been absolutely life changing. I love the community I have here, seeing what friends are up to, and watching random videos, but also taking time away has been so good for my health and overall outlook of life. I love sharing moments of my life, but I also want to be present in those moments more and not have ‘likes’ determine if they were memorable or not. Having a digital cleanse may not be necessary for all, but it’s working perfectly for me. Plus, focusing on my little Evelyn’s health has been my number one activity, and focusing on spending as much time with my mother as she continues to battle cancer. Much happening, and I can’t wait to share as much as I can. ❤️ #socialmediabreak#mentalhealth#firsttimemom#outdoorvibes#lifeadventures#pnw

Let’s fast forward to summer and nice blue lakes 😏
One thing I struggle with is fear of not being “perfect”. My skin isn’t the best usually, my eyebrows don’t always look the best, my lips stay chapped this time of year, I’ve got a “mom belly”, I could honestly go on and on. I’m scared of people, I’m scared of rejection, I’m just scared. I struggle with feeling caged and suffocated, I want to feel free, I want to feel love, I want to be me, genuinely me. Goofy, imperfect, fun, loving... so that’s what I am striving for. I’m so thankful for everyone that helps me come out of my shell, everyone that reassures me, and everyone that’s patient with me. Here’s to a year of personal growth and change. .
@mimikvinge and I had grandiose plans to ski tour Mt Rainier, but the government shutdown and park closure rerouted us to spend a few days near White Pass instead. Didn’t make it to the area in time to ski, so we found this cool frozen lake and took turns glacading down the banks and pitching snowballs at each other. The next day we toured up to Hogback mountain, and spend the rest of the afternoon skiing the resort. Turns out White Pass is pretty sweet and the views are unreal. Thanks to @lovelycozycabinatmt.rainier for a great landing spot to relax and recoup nearby in Packwood. If you find yourselves in the area be sure to check them out.

We're having acai bowls in soup bowls because we're missing Summer but stuck in Oregon Winter.
May this acai bless me with sunshine vibes until we see the sun again. Amen.
I climbed down below this bridge. Wet and sketchy, I bonked my head when I looked up but saw this stunning foggy view 😲 and got really excited! This is The Ben Jones Bridge.
🧠 A Bit of History 🤯
Picturesque concrete and steel bridges are a state hallmark and on the coast they stretch from Astoria at the Oregon/Washington boarder, the highest coastal bridge between San Francisco and Seattle, to the California/Oregon boarder. Tucked in between our neighbors, along historic highway 101, are the state’s crown jewels, the soaring and repeating arch bridges built in the 1920s and ‘30s by master bridge builder Conde B. McCullough. His beautiful and timeless mix of Art Deco, Gothic, and Modern design elements makes them beautiful and functional one generation after another. 11 of McCullough’s coastal bridges were listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is one, The Ben Jones Bridge. Nearly all of McCullough's original bridges remain in service on Highway 101 with only one being replaced in 1991.

Donuts. Cleaning. Haircuts. Snuggles. More cleaning. I was mid Saturday routine when I realized that outside it was raining If you step outside on our land - there's a whole hill full of logs and brush and little trails. It's just big enough that you can sneak away and feel like you are in a tint forest. And if you block out the occasional car sound, it is amazingly relaxing. All this just outside our door and I forgot. 🌲 Take some time today and even if it's only 5 minutes - step into nature and breathe. Go. Now. Byeeeee. ··· #pnwmom#pnwlife#gooutside#nevergiveup#fitness#outdoors#mentalhealth
