I was thinking about sharing this picture a while back and after looking at it and smiling every single time I saw it I thought I would repost it. This picture of little Freya gets me emotional and never ever fails to bring a smile to my face whenever I see her beautiful smile. After seeing this picture it’s disgusting how people can still push their sick agenda of abortion and the so called “woman’s right to choose.” To those who hold this view I DARE YOU to look into the eyes of this baby, see her beautiful smile and call her life a choice that someone should have. Her life, like all the lives of the unborn IS NOT A CHOICE. God bless little Freya and her family for bringing me so much joy from one picture. ❤️

  • “Every celebration of the Eucharist is a ray of light of the unsetting sun that is the Risen Jesus Christ. To participate in Mass, especially on Sunday, means entering in the victory of the Risen, being illuminated by his light, warmed by his warmth.” - Pope Francis in his general audience on Nov. 22, 2017. • "...(W)hen we talk about God as 'father', we think of the image of our parents, especially if they loved us well, but we have to go further. Because the love of God is that of the Father 'who is in heaven', according to the expression Jesus invites us to use: it is the total love that we in this life taste only imperfectly."

  • Some will argue that faith and reason are not compatible. However, this argument is entirely false as the catholic church hinges on both faith and reason. One example lies within the beginning of the universe, some will say that the big bang theory (formulated by a catholic priest I might add) is enough. One of the first things that we are taught in school is Newtons 2nd law: "An object in motion will stay in motion until an outward force acts upon it" this also means that an object at rest will stay at rest. Therefore, it is logical to conclude that the universe with moving objects: planets, asteroids, meteors had some sort of beginning force. Even when applied to the Big Bang something had to have caused that explosion. There are other laws and such make sense of the explosion and the way the universe would have needed an intelligent creator to be in the order it is. But, with only using logic I have shown that it is reasonable to believe that an outward force is POSSIBLE in God and that it cannot be thrown out right away.

  • My first three confessions went really badly. I didn't know about doing an Examination of Conscience so I just said something off the top of my head. I hadn't grasped the concept of sin as an offence against God - largely because I didn't have a relationship with him until I was 17 - and I didn't realise how badly I needed his mercy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The devil likes to tell us we don't need Confession. When you fear going to Confession or think you don't need it, that's the devil trying to convince you not to go because it is so powerful. I gave into that fear. For years I aimed to go every month but often didn't make it. I used the excuse that most churches have Confession on Saturdays when I worked, but this was just an excuse. Since I finally began making the effort to go every 2 weeks, however, my relationship with God has been transformed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why is it that we make every effort to rectify problems with family, friends, significant others, but we don't make the same effort with God? Ask yourself now if those excuses you're coming up with are really valid. If you're scared or there are obstacles you can't overcome, pray about it and ask God to help you. Don't forget that you can ask a priest for Confession at any time - make an appointment with him if you can't make it to the scheduled Confession times. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌼 If you want to go to Confession but you want help with the practicalities, or just general encouragement, feel free to DM me! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Unfortunately, I didn’t make it inside the Pope’s weekly audience because from what I could tell from the TV screen, half of Argentina had waited for hours to see their pride and joy. However, it was still an incredibly humbling experience to see everyone from around the world, including England’s U-18 football team in Rome for a European championship, pay their respects to the “Papa”! #pope #afa #argentina #bigpoppa #vaticano
