Dilpreet is a Kindergarten teacher and is very passionate about her job. She started in 2010 with Peel District school board and has been teaching Kindergarten since then. Dilpreet recently created a page @welearnthroughplay_ to get her message across that kids learn a lot about life (real-life experiences) through playing, especially in their early years. She has a Masters of Science in Education and she is pursuing her Ph.D. right now to learn and teach more. Teachers learn and teach at the same time!
Dilpreet has been through a lot of ups and downs in her life but it didn't stop her from keep going. She got divorced at a young age and that was always seen as a flaw, a stigma, when people use to say "I am so sorry to hear that" she started responding by saying, "don't be, it was one of the best and the strongest decision I ever made". She wanted people to see that walking out of a toxic marriage is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength in being able to say STOP! enough is enough. She kept her head high and wore her so-called "stigma of being divorced" as a badge that yes I went through all that and look at me now!
She wore her troubled past like scars. She had been through battle, and though no one could see her demons, they could see the face that conquered them. Anyone who meets her falls in love with her personality, she is always happy, always positive and has a lot of stories to share! She loves taking pictures to save those memories and cherish them forever. She loves trying out new food places. She loves tattoos. She is extremely passionate about working out and being in good shape. She loves dressing up and looking good all the time. Western or Indian she can rock both! She believes that when you look and feel good from the outside it makes you feel good from the inside as well. Sometimes the result you achieve go beyond what others can see. It bleeds into the confidence in the way you walk, the way you think, the way you act and the way you live and that's Dilpreet for you!
