Y’all! I just finished a recovery jog after my 30km treadmill run yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well this weekend and didn’t get my long run in on Sunday. I had an extra long layover in Toronto yesterday so I hopped an Uber to a gym 20 mins away and I did my long run, the whole damn thing, on the treadmill. 😮

#️⃣1️⃣ NEVER AGAIN #️⃣2️⃣ I am so proud of myself!! This year has been about blasting past everything I think I “can’t” do and I have never been able to stay engaged enough to run more than 12km on the treadmill before. I’m not going to pretend I enjoyed one moment of it, but it wasn’t so bad and the feeling of self accomplishment I have is through the roof! Made it to Mexico and my hotel has this lovely little gym, but honestly... who cares, WHERE ARE THE 🌮’s !!??!?!?

  • What does running mean to me? The answer is 👆 Jag behöver kanske inte säga så mycket mer, ta en titt på min nya tatuering istället. Snygg va? Löpningen har verkligen gjort och gett mig mycket, ni anar inte..

  • Ok so I thought I’d share my running progress 🏃‍♀️💛
Last year around September I decided to commit to 1 x sprint session per week just for 4 weeks. Nothing major, no extra commitments. Just wanted to see how it went.
Since that month, I’ve continued it on almost every single week (except maybe 2 I’ve skipped).
Once January hit, trav and I were away and decided to do 1 long distance (by long distance, I mean 5km run lol). Again, just committed to 1 only. I hated it. I was so slow. Butttt I decided to go for us one more...
That 1 run, has now turned in to a weekly long distance run (I’m slowly working myself up to 10km).
I used to run for about 12 years when I was younger; and for whatever reason between 18-29 years, I just stopped.
I’ve been back doing it the past 4 months, and I honestly just keep surprising myself as to how much I enjoy it. And now how consistent I am of going twice a week.
So moral of the story; you don’t necessarily need an end goal in mind. Just start with the intention of doing 1 workout, or 1 week. No commitments. No pressure.
Just start. And see where it takes you ✌️
