Moderate length and moderate pace out there in the cold today (weirdly my mouth was the most cold 🤷🏻♀️). This one didn’t feel easy (hilly route and I felt tight), but it did make me feel good that I could turn relativity well at a little faster clip with this ankle. •
I was listening to this new podcast called “Family Secrets.” Each episode tells a story of someone who found out a crazy secret about their life. It kept me entertained today!
I’m starting to look into fall marathons and am really wanting something late September or early October, more downhill, and pretty scenery. Any suggestions?? Summer running is my ABSOLUTE favorite- so training all summer for a fall marathon gets me excited!

I think it's a winter thing. I mean I hope it's a winter thing. But I kind of feel like I've lost my running mojo. I'm still running.... mostly just a daily 5k and every! single! one! just kind of feels like I’m going through the motion but not really feeling the vibe whatsoever. I miss the me I am when I'm in love with running. This dispirited apathy needs to end. #gohomewinteryouredrunk

Good #run with the girls tonight distracted by trying to avoid puddles of water & slippery spots!
After a 7 week hiatus from #running to nurse an ankle sprain, glad to feel "normal" again (running-wise)
Physio appt tomorrow.
On my last visit she cleared me to jog for 5 mins.
Do I disclose that I've done 4 #runs ranging from 5 to 10 km since my last visit???
I mean clearly that means she did her job well 🙃

Happy Thursday Everyone! I am so glad that we are almost done with the work week. Just one more day to get to the weekend! Yay! I know that it was a short week for many of my US friends, but for whatever reason the short weeks can feel just as long as a normal week. I could also get used to 4 day weeks. Maybe even 3 day weeks... or 2 day.. hmm.. _______________
Throwback picture from this past weekend's mountain adventure. This is at the top of the Priest climb. It was so cold up there so we only stayed for a few minutes.
Running Summary: Two runs today for a total of 7.1 miles with the first one starting at 5:40am in the morning. I was going to meet the fellas for the duck run, but since they were not able to come, I just knocked out 4.5 miles by myself. It was hard to get up that early and get a run in, but I am glad that I was able to force myself out the door. My lunch run was just a quick out and back at the house. It felt good to be able to get out in shorts and a t shirt for that run. Legs are feeling back to life!
Lifting Summary: Today was an adjustment day in the gym where I knocked out a few things that I normally would do as accessories on the weekend. I tried some pin overhead presses which I finished off a pretty easy 155lbs for 5 as my final set. Then I did some high rep and pretty heavy close grip bench presses. I then did some bicep work for the rest of the workout. Barbell curls, dumbbell curls, and some burnout barbell work to cap off a fun time in the gym.
