  • 🌊 BEACH CLEANUP 🌊
.
We just wrapped up our second beach cleanup down at Jindalee Beach! The sun was shining and it was very hot this morning but despite this many people came down to help! It was a massive success, we had more than 15 ocean warriors come down to help cleanup our local beach and between us all we collected 25kg OF RUBBISH!!
.
Luckily it was not as much as last time but we still need to focus on cutting out our everyday single use plastic. There was thousands of tiny plastic confettis sprinkled along the foot path, so many plastic bottles and cups, and loads of plastic straw! We have to start making a difference and swapping out single use plastics for metal or tin drink bottles, reusable coffee cups, metal straws and metal cutlery, others animals such as turtles, dolphins and sharks will eat this plastic and die.
.
Even if you pick up 3 pieces of rubbish a day, you are stopping 1,000 pieces of debris from entering our ocean each year!
.
Stay tuned as we will be having another beach cleanup next month!
.
Thank you again for everyone who came down and helped and supported @respecttheocean_ and cleaned up the beach! 🌊

⁣
The Pinnacles under the stars. 🌌⁣
We drove back to Nambung national park at midnight to watch the night sky.It was extremely quiet, without a single sound: no wind, no insect, the only thing we would hear was our footsteps. ⁣
As the moon did rise yet, it’s was all in the darkness , with thousands of similar pillars around, I’d be so disoriented if I didn’t have google map 😅. ⁣
It’s a pity that we couldn’t see the galactic center because it’s close to the sun at this time of the year, the night sky is still pretty with the clear Milky Way. ⁣
⁣
Les Pinnacles sous les étoiles. 🌌⁣

  • The beach cleanup is near!!
We hope you are excited because we are!
It is going to be a warm one tomorrow so make sure to bring a hat, sunscreen and a drink bottle to stay sun smart!
We will have a gazebo set up on the grass area to protect us all from the sun when we are not cleaning,
Remember there will also be more raffle prizes for sale including a reef safe sunscreen pack, some Ningaloo mugs and an awesome whale tote bag!!
Come down anytime from 9 - 11 at Jindalee beach to help clean, we hope to see you there 🌊
