Chilli Crab Rolls ($18 each) 🌶🦀
First time trying a crab roll (usually it's lobster) and we went for their chilli crab version. The components were crab, shrimp, anchovies, tomato paste, galangal, peanut, sesame, lemongrass, eggs, parsley atop a crispy fluffy buttered baked sandwich roll.
The chilli crab filling tasted very flavourful (kinda reminded me of Jumbo’s chilli crab sauce) and it went really well with the buttered sandwich. Furthermore, you get an additional roll for free (1-for-1) with Burpple Beyond.
Will return to try their lobster rolls and ice cream next time!

Grew up with Lim Hokkien Fried Mee and it continues to be our favourite over the years. They use a combination of yellow, thick white noodles and beehoon. We like how it’s not too wet which a lot of stalls do, making it seem as if we’re slurping soup based noodles. The stock has strong garlic and prawn fragrance, with slight wok hei. Crispy fried pork lard and ikan bilis are also provided, which we gladly mix in to enhance the flavors.

Charcoal Salt Baked Fish 😍😍😍
This is my all-time favorite fish and must-have whenever I come Bangkok!! It’s served with a green chili sauce which is a mix of sour and spicy but goes so well with the fish. The fish is so fresh that it’s fork-tender and so so juicy! Love it!! Please come and try when you’re in Bangkok. I always have mine at Talad Neon night market for only 300 baht (~$15)! #Shersbkkeats

Chinese New Year is around the corner so here I am sharing a quick auspicious dessert which you can prepared for your guests. This Osmanthus Longan Coconut Jelly consist of 2 layer with a clear top fillings and coconut base
For this recipe I used canned Ayam Brand pure coconut cream and milk which is 💯 natural and taste that is close to fresh coconut milk. Most importantly the product has no added preservatives, colouring or flavour as it is made from fresh and ripe coconuts with superior taste and rich texture

2 tbsp osmanthus flowers
5g agar agar powder
1 tbsp wolfberry
10 dried longan, cut quarters
4 red dates, slice quarters
270ml Ayam Brand Pure Coconut Cream
270ml Ayam Brand Premium Coconut Milk
80g gula melaka/brown sugar
5g agar agar powder
1 knot pandan leave
1. In a saucepan add 250ml water, dry longan & red date then simmer for 5 mins.
2. Drained and evenly distribute longan & red date in the koi fish jelly tray using wolfberry as eyes
3. Top longan water in the saucepan to 500ml, sprinkle agar agar powder, sugar & osmanthus flower then bring to boil
4. Fill each koi mould till half full then leave aside to set while preparing coconut layer
5. In another saucepan add coconut cream, coconut milk, agar agar powder, gula melaka and Pandan leaves then simmer on lower heat till sugar dissolve & mixture almost comes to boil
6. Using a toothpick lightly scratch 2 lines on top of the set jelly before pouring the coconut milk mixture till rim
7. Refrigerate for about 1-2 hour or until firm then serve chill

Eat what you like when you can. Do what you dream when you are able to. Never expect to discover these giant matcha cream buns which resembled 脏脏包 but I didn’t get to buy as I was in a rush. Hope that I’ll still be in luck next time.

Back to school, back to work...no time! Thank goodness for @frombasquewithlove and their fabulous ready to cook mixes! Our family are having them with every meal! My personal fave is the Italian Couscous - served with a piece of salmon or chicken it completes the meal. 😋

Deconstructed smeared dark chocolate 年糕 cookie? It looks weird and gross here and I contemplated if I should post this here but I must be proud of who I am and my cookie stands proud too. HAHAHAH. I like to play with my food, I am the sort who would press and poke on my soft bread before I eat it or poke at leftovers. HAHAHAH. I am all about the touch 😏
Anyway once again, I am so thankful for the overwhelming orders. More than 70 orders and I wish I could take more but I am only a lonely baker. WAHAHAHA. That's more than 1500 cookies btw. I totally dint intend to do CNY orders cos I wanted to recover from the previous festive period but alas I'm here. Waiting to churn out my Valentines day box when I have the time.
