BENEFITS OF HERBAL SHAMPOO 🌿
🔹Environment friendly and free of toxic chemicals.
🔹Strengthens and conditions hair.
🔹Helps prevent dandruff, split ends, hair loss and premature greying of hair.
🔹Makes hair soft, silky and shiny naturally.
🔹Promotes healthy hair growth.
Water - 2 litres
Shikakai - 5 count
Soapnuts - 5 count (I add 10 coz I oil my hair excessively before hair wash)
Dried/Fresh Amla - 5 count
Dried/Fresh Hibiscus Flowers - 10 count
Fenugreek Seeds - 2 tbsp
Black Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves - 3 strands
Henna Leaves - 20 count
Tulsi Leaves - 10 count
Neem Leaves - 10 count
🔹Soak all the ingredients in an iron kadai overnight. (Atleast 8 hours)
🔹Next morning, in the same kadai, boil the mix on medium flame for 20 minutes.
🔹Allow the mix to cool completely and deseed the soapnuts.
🔹Blend to a fine paste. You can first blend the herbs and then add the liquid little by little.
🔹Strain the foamy paste though a big sieve a couple of times.
🔹Transfer your herbal shampoo to a clean dry glass bottle and store it in the refrigerator.
🔹Shake well before every use.
🔹Can be stored in the refrigerator for 1 week.
🔹The above mentioned quantity makes about 2 litres of shampoo. Now that looks too much but if you're someone like me who oils hair excessively, you will need about 200 ml of shampoo for every wash.
🔹Since this shampoo is not going to lather artificially like chemical shampoos, you may need to rinse and repeat for every wash.
🔹Make sure you rinse your hair thoroughly so that the tiny bits and pieces of herbs gets washed away. The residues will eventually fall off as your hair dries.
