The smell of fresh flower garlands and the sight of colorful fruits guided us as we stepped into the streets of Mylapore.
I walked across the houses with brick tile rooftops having traditional 'kolams' adorning their front entrances, and then into the heart of Mylapore where all the mini silk saree stores, tailors and goldsmiths sat side by side. .
I couldn't help but feel like I was somewhere down South in Tamilnadu like Trichy, Thanjavur or Kumbakonam. And if don't get the chance to make it to any of these places, this is the closest you could get to them inside the city! ☺️
Chennai has many faces to it and this is one you certainly shouldn't miss.
