I love products that I can apply with my fingertips because I am super lazy when it comes to applying makeup 😂 The @rmsbeauty living luminizer has quickly become my favourite product of all time because of the gorgeous finish and ease of application.. what are your favourite cream formulas?
Is #weedwednesday a thing lol??
I'm so loving that cannabis and hemp infused products are currently having a moment! I seriously love all three of these products and think they all work amazingly! I especially love the emerald oil from @herbivorebotanicals. I like to mix it into my moisturizer. I use two drops when I use it in the morning and four drops when I use it at night. I also love to use it with my gua sha from @royal_jade_beauty (not pictured). I think it's really cool how marijuana is becoming more and more socially acceptable and that we're seeing the benefits of sativa, hemp, and CBD.

What are some of your favorite @milkmakeup Products?
Are there any new makeup launches that I should keep an eye on?
Can’t wait for the next Sephora VIB sale tbh...
tuesday night / I’ve been testing the @drunkelephant a-passioni retinol cream* for almost 3 months now and I still can’t write a solid review on it. I’ve been using it twice a week since I started testing it, and while I noticed a difference in my skin at the beginning, the effects sort of diminished as time went on. I’m thinking it’s time to increase my usage to 3x a week (does anyone else use it more than 2x a week? a bitch is scared) and see how my skin reacts!
since I’m still unable to provide a solid review, here’s a few tips:
✨ this retinol is STRONG. I believe I’ve been able to avoid peeling and irritation by mixing it with a heavy moisturizer and facial oil when I apply it. there was one week where I applied it straight to my face, and while I didn’t experience any peeling, my skin began to purge. unless you’ve been using retinol your entire life and can take it like a champ, I definitely recommend mixing it with a facial oil or your moisturizer (or both)!
✨ ease into it. 1% retinol is powerful, you shouldn’t slap it on your face every night if you’ve never used it before. if you’re brand new to retinol, use it once a week until your skin builds a tolerance for it; increase usage to twice a week and so on. ✨ this retinol is packaged in a metal tube—squeeze (lightly) from the top, not the middle! tons of product will be wasted if squeezed from the middle and below. you’re welcome.
have you tried a-passioni yet? how often do you use it? what do you mix it with? do you layer it over an AHA serum (like @drunkelephant t.l.c. framboos)? if you’re using another retinol, how are you liking it? tell me below! 🐘💫❤️ *pr gifted

This counts as a #shelfie right...?
I thought I’d switch things up today, but I couldn’t resist posting some type of rainbow/shelf situation.
Let’s chat - if you could buy one product right now, regardless of cost, what would it be and why!?
CREAM SILK STUNNING SHINE CONDITIONER
(got 2 40ml samples for free at Sampleroom.ph)
This is supposed to boost shine and moisturize dull and lifeless hair.
After trying this, it did restore *a little bit* of shine of shine to my dull, colored hair. It also made my hair softer and smoother. The formula is lightweight and did not make my fine thin hair look limp and sad.
Downside - it's hard to rinse off and has a silicone feel to it. It also does not prevent frizz.
Overall, not a bad experience but I'll continue looking and trying other conditioners!
NINE POINT Hand & Nail Cream in White Musk, around PHP85
-Not a fan. White musk smells artificial. The cream is waxy and does not soften hands. Won't RP.
SKIN FAVORITES Hand & Nail Cream in Green Tea
-This was part of a 5-pc hand cream set and I got it for only Php125! Super cheap! This softened and moisturized my hands better than most brands I've tried. It was not sticky plus the set has different scents for you to try. Green Tea smells great. Will RP but downside is this was a limited item and I'm not sure I can get this again.
What a sleepy, lazy dog! ❤️ But can skin be lazy? And does moisutrizer make your skin lazy? That's the subject of today's blog: https://buff.ly/2NlfhKg⠀
First, I do notice that many of the people who make this claim make or sell moisturizers! So clearly they think not all moisturizers are bad. Most of the time, when I see this discussed in articles or interviews, the idea is not that all moisturizers will end up making your skin forget how to do normal cell turnover. The distinction they draw is between thick, heavy formulas and more hydrating ones.⠀
A heavy moisturizer can sometimes occlude, or form a film, over the skin. That’s good in very dry conditions, but in normal weather, it can be a problem. “Glowing” skin happens when your cells turn over and dead skin cells fall off, which is why exfoliating is so important: it gets those dead cells off your face. If there is a film on your face from a thick moisturizer, dead cells can get stuck there, causing breakouts and dullness.⠀
So a moisturizer is probably not making your skin “lazy," but if you can't shed dead skin, that's a problem.⠀
That said, most of these derms and estheticians say that a hydrating formula is good for everyone, and that a #moisturizer should support the natural barrier function of the skin and deliver antioxidants to relieve environmental stress. We agree! That’s why our moisturizer has so many natural antioxidants and hydrators (sodium hyaluronate, glycerin) as well as vitamins and natural compounds to support barrier function (niacinamide and cholesterol.) There are a few emollients, but the primary function of the AMC is not to be thick, waxy, and heavy. That's why it's a good fit for acne-prone skin.⠀
One last thing: These same articles often recommend retinol and acids! In this case, #moisturizers are even more important to protect from dryness/irritation.⠀
happy wednesday! here’s what’s in rotation this week 💫
✨ @kristin_ess instant exfoliating scalp scrub • I’ve been on the hunt for a good scalp scrub for a looong time—I typically go 3-4 days without washing my hair and the product buildup on my scalp is no joke. I picked this up after @devsday wrote a glowing review about it and I haven’t been let down. first off, it smells like coconuts, and I’m obsessed 🥥😌 the scrub itself is very easy to work into the scalp, massage around, and rinse out. I’ve tried a sample of the scalp scrub from @theouai and prefer the scrub from @kristin_ess—while the scrub from @theouai is nice and smells amazing, it’s thicker and more difficult to really work into the scalp. this scrub is a dream and at only $14 at @target, it’s definitely worth purchasing 🌟
✨ @drjart peptidin firming serum* • this lightweight, silky serum is packed with eight peptides to firm and plump skin. the packaging is interesting—once you start to untwist the cap, the top pops up so you can press down on it and pipette the product. I’ve been mixing one dropper-full of this serum with my @drunkelephant t.l.c. framboos at night and they work together like a dream. I’ve been waking up with super smooth skin and can’t wait to see my results after a few weeks!
what are you testing this week? ✨⚡️*pr gifted

❌Myth: Acne is caused by hormones.
✅Fact: Acne is partially caused by hormones, but is usually caused by at least two factors that cause active breakouts.
Acne is mainly caused by androgens, or “male hormones,” which can be triggered by PMS, high stress, foods like dairy and certain prescription drugs, like Wellbutrin. Another possible cause is hormone influence, but it is rarely the root cause unless the person is on a high-androgen birth control (like NuvaRing) or has an actual hormone-disrupting condition (like PCOS).

When I have a long makeup day I always make sure my skin is properly clean and prepped for a good nights rest! (I always tell you guys to take off your makeup before bed!) I used the @garnierusa micellar waters since they first came out. They’re perfect for getting app that makeup residue after using a makeup wipe!
.✨the @garnierusa Deep Pore facial cleanser is what I currently use after makeup remover wipes because it’s gentle while deeply flushing out my pores
.✨my favorite thing about this cleanser is that it’s the perfect pre-wash for my face. My skin is freshly cleansed of makeup and ready to be cleansed for the night!
.✨double cleansing is a 2-step method to fully remove dirt, pollution, dead cells, and cosmetics from your face. .✨you simply begin with a gel or oil cleanser for washing away the first layer .✨then follow with your regular face wash and finish your routine!
Have you ever heard of double-cleansing? Thoughts?
Sheet Mask Tuesday ✨
So this sheet mask is enriched with Tea Tree, the anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil make it useful in relieving the discomfort of itchy skin. It can also counteract bacteria and microbial growth, making it especially useful in the battle against acne prone skin.
I have a few spots at the moment so I’m hoping this helps! 💕
Has anyone else tried this mask? ❣️ #skincare#sheetmask#skincareroutine

i’ve only been away for 6 days and i’ve already forgotten how to edit my photos 😬
This was today’s morning routine!! Does anyone else change their skincare routine up completely when their skin’s feeling irritated?
Welp, I cut my face really badly with my sharp thumb nail. Everything I applied stung (like a papercut but worse). So I decided to whip out this mask in an "emergency". 🚨 Because I love knit masks and this one seemed to fit tonight. 🚑
Okay, enough with the dramatic whambulance jokes already but this mask was heaven sent! Thank you @yoffi_reviews!❣ First of all, the fit is perfect and I love milky essences when my skin is very dry, or like in this case, "injured". It did not sting one bit, so definitely a great mask for sensitive skin! I have never heard of @dermatory but now I need to look up their masks. Why? Because this mask is absolutely HOLY GRAIL!🏆Seriously, the scratch? Almost gone, not red anymore and stopped hurting. Dry skin? Gone. Fine lines? Gone as well. I am not one who uses the term holy grail often but this one deserves it.
Nothing here that I didn't like, however, there's some items I would think twice (🤔) about repurchasing either because they weren't all that special to me or the price didn't match the results. Others I might repurchase eventually (🙂) since they worked well enough, but I have other products in that same category that I need to use first. Last but not least, there's the ❤'s which I will definitely repurchase.
