  • The next time I hear someone bitching about the snow, just think you could live a mile back in the woods and have to tunnel down to your woodpile through snow about 3 feet over your head to get wood for your woodstove that goes out at 2 am the morning.
I'd much rather be doing this any day than having to get up and go to some shitty job working for someone else or a corporation that doesn't give a shit about me and have to drive in this crap.
Life is good at 8,700 feet elevation in the southern rockies of Colorado!
🌍✌

  • Seeing the boat in such a mess seems to be more often than not these days. BUT, we are getting closer to being ready to set sail every single time! Today we began the installation of our new arch and solar panels. It feel so good to check things off the “list”! #boatwork #solar #soready #babysteps

  • NASA | National Aeronautics and Space Administration began its operations on October 1, 1958 for Mercury, Gemini (Titan), Apollo and Shuttle for human spaceflight, satellite imaging, research, planetary exploration, insight into aspects of many diverse fields from astronomy, atmospheric, agriculture through remote viewing of Earth, space and for other applications. The International Space Station is science central’s greatest collaboration in history for the benefit of all humanity’s diplomacy, human spaceflight, satellite imaging, research and planetary exploration
The greatest international cooperative and largest object ever flown in space is the third brightest object in the sky over more than 90 percent of Earth's population and includes contributions from 15 nations.
24/7, 365 days a year at International Space Station, astronauts conduct research in orbit at an avg. altitude of 248 miles (400 kilometers) above Earth. As of November 20, 2018, the ISS has been orbiting earth for 20 years every 90 minutes, travelling at five miles per second! In microgravity, Crews perform great research and plan 5 minute increments to ensure research stays on track.
1959 NASA launched the nation's first communication satellites, lunar rovers;
1963 Apollo and moon landing;
1972 NASA began Space Shuttle Program
1974 Skylab
1983 NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope Project went into orbit 1984:1990 followed by the Space Station Freedom Program.
First ISS Segment Launches
November 20, 1998: a Russian proton rocket named Zarya ("sunrise") First U.S.-built component launches
December 4, 1998: Unity, the first U.S.-built component
First Crew to Reside on Station
November 2, 2000
ISS Mission Assembly 4A, Nov. 30, 2000, the STS-97 crew delivered and installed P-6 Truss which supports the first U.S. solar arrays.

  • Before deciding on the best way to use solar energy at home, assess your #Solar potential.
Because PV technologies use both direct and scattered sunlight to create electricity, the solar resource across the U.S. is ample for home solar electric systems.
