As a long time #StephenColbert fan, I remember the #WristStrong saga.
Back in the days of #TheColbertReport , Stephen Colbert broke his wrist while running around the studio. He started wearing a red silicone bracelet based on the Lance Armstrong livestrong one. It was a whole thing.
Cut to the recent past.

But I spotted it. His Apple Watch band.
Bright red.
Wrist Strong lived on. Was it a personal totem to remember his past? An Easter egg for eagle-eyed viewers?
I don't know.
What I DO know...is that it is gone.
For approximately a month. Stephen Colbert's watch band has been black. Midnight. Onyx. Is his wrist in mourning?
I am.
How soon we forget.
