  • Having visited Manly over 10 years ago now I fully can appreciate its beauty. If you’re ever in Sydney I highly recommend jumping on a ferry ⛴ and heading over to Manly. You may even see some Whales along the way 🐋
This brilliant shot is not actually mine this time. It’s a stunning image by @surfandearth. Sometimes it pays to get yourself in the water with your camera 📸 💦 ———————————————————

  • Nothing like waking up to a stunningly fiery sunrise this morning! Despite a dazzling sight this morning, more unsettled, rainy weather was looming… It was really the calm before the storm. Pic taken from around San Jose, CA. (Monday, February 11, 2019; 7:00 a.m.)
*Weather update:
Another cold low pressure area was dropping southeastward toward Northern California. A large area of subtropical moisture north of Hawaii was also moving northeastward which was forecast to merge with the cold low over Northern & Central California… A setup for an atmospheric river event was imminent. This day, we were to see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a few light showers along the coast range & from Redding northward. Snow levels were to be very low, around 1000 feet, due to trapped cold air in areas of NorCal. By Tuesday afternoon & Wednesday, the storm system was to move over NorCal. Moderate to locally heavy rain was to occur over the region. The rain was to turn to showers late Thursday & end Thursday night… By late Friday, another low pressure trough was to be dropping along the coast. This should keep the upcoming weekend showery with t-storms in areas especially around the Central Valley with snow levels 3000-4000 feet… Drive safely out there in the rain/snow, especially over the Sierras!
