The aurora near Tromso Norway. Congratulations to Wayne Pinkson. SWIPE left to see 3 more from Kitdalen, Norway. “From my archives. A few years ago I went to Norway to see the Aurora, and one night we were treated to an auroral display for about 20-30 minutes that far exceeded my wildest imagination. Color of all shades rained down on us from every direction. It was hard to decide which way to point the camera. I posted a few of these previously, but have mostly been posting Milky Way photos. [I’ve been mixing] these in with some panoramas in case people are getting tired of the panoramas. I’d love to go back to Norway, but I doubt I’ll ever see anything as spectacular as that night,” says Wayne || Please show support to our guest artists by visiting their IG gallery.
TECHNIQUE & EXIF: All single exposures • Canon EOS-1D X + Nikon 14-24mm @ 14mm • Most exposures taken at about f/2.8, 3 sec, ISO 6400.

I spent a few mornings walking around through the rocks looking for views across the water. The sky is amazing in this part of the world, and dawn is the best time to get the colors. This shot looks across at San José del Cabo through the rocks.
