I've started working on a Udemy course called 'Become a Wordpress Developer' by Brad Schiff (LINK: bit.ly/wordpress-yusufcodes) - *not sponsored, I just shortened the link to make it easily accessible if you're interested!*
The reason for this is because a project I'm working on will run using the WordPress platform.

It's super interesting seeing how PHP integrates with WordPress so seamlessly, and the power a developer has with them.

Happy Wednesday! Have you worked with WordPress, PHP, or both? Let me know!

  • Last day of school before Chinese New Year 🎉
Finally completed the third project that focuses on css flexbox, I’ll be a forever student of Jonás and I mean it 😍
Love how he explains and breaks down the difficult concepts so that I’m able to apply those into my own real-world projects 🌝
And for the next step, I’m moving on to the long-awaited css grid project🗽

  • I‘m currently working on multiple things 🔥
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One thing I started yesterday is the app idea I mentioned a few weeks earlier. It‘s about maintaining a list of all profiles that you tag and counting on how many times they reposted you. That way after a month you can see whether there‘s a profile that didn‘t repost you at all and so you can go and search for a replacement. At the end you will hopefully tag 20 profiles of which 20 are reposting you 🚀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had to pause nora:lasek (new Instagram API). But I‘m thinking of integrating the hashtag functionality into this new app. It‘s 100% build without storyboard. I even deleted the main.storyboard file 😄
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I started this app because it reeaally bugs me to not know about the quality of the profiles I tag 😊!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I‘ll start sharing the progress with you in my stories 👊🏻✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are you interested in that app? Would you use it 😊?

  • My Portfolio is up and running! It’s a simple concept. I used bootstrap for most of the styling on this app. I added some links to follow, some extra functionality in the download button so that anyone that wants a copy of my resume can have one, I am excited to finally have this up and running. It’s almost been a year since I started coding, and this website is a testament that a little hard work goes a long way. The link for it will be in my bio as well! This was done on day 17-18/365 - 2019. I took a weekend break from coding this weekend! Learning MYSQL database as of now, coding boot camp should be finished in two weeks! I am excited!

💡💡 Solution 👇🏻
Getting the next highest number.
Before you start, you need to ask some qualifying questions such as
1. Any negative numbers in the array?
2. Any double digits (this example is only for single digits)
3. Output format ?
4. And the obvious time and space requirements.

Algorithm -
We have to find the next highest number which means if we just add 1 to the existing digit at the units place will actually result in the next highest number. But what if the addition generates a 2 digit value.
💡💡💡💡💡
for example -
9 + 1 == 10.
💡💡💡💡💡
How do we handle that?
🧐🧐🧐
What we can do is take a modulus and generate a carry and a base from the resulting digit.
What does that mean ?
Basically we have to separate the units and tens digit from the number.  And it can be done as follows -
👇🏻👇🏻
units digit - number % 10;  It gets the remainder
tens digit/carry - number/10;
💡💡
This sums up the logic needed to calculate the next highest number.

📚📚Which datastructure is more efficient ?
👉🏻What if the last number results in a value greater than 9. In that case you basically have to create a new array and copy all the elements again. Therefore using a simple array without knowing the size is not an efficient data structure. However List provides a simple way of adding new elements without
defining the size. And you can add or remove a particular digit from the list without iterating it.
