We’ve had the privilege of sharing so many different love stories of couples that have met in all walks of life. Couples that are high school sweethearts, couples that met on vacation, couples that meet online and the list continues. We’ve now had the amazing privilege to document the love of these two, Astrid + Kevin. Bachelor in Paradise brought these two together. The down to earth souls they are and the beautiful love they share show us just how incredible the world works to bring us the ones we’re meant to be with. Meeting on the beach, bringing Astrid coffee every morning and sharing about their lives for hours on end was the beginning of their love story and now they get to do life together in Toronto. We adored capturing their connection ♥️ .
As I truly try to find a photo of myself that I love to fit this instagram grid, I threw back Thursday to this day, my final wedding dress fitting. I walked in there heartbroken being alone, having lost my mother a few years ago this was the big moment. This was it a week prior to leaving for our destination wedding. .
To the new followers my name is Raluca. I am a hopeless romantic and have been in love with weddings ever since I can remember. I am a girly girl, I will make sure you have a moment to yourself on your wedding day to relax and take it all in. I will make sure you know I put you first above anyone else because that is the kind of friend I am. Cheers to the moments you feel most beautiful, even if it’s a mirror selfie! #selfie#weddingphotographer#torontoweddingphotographer#yorkregionweddingphotographer#truth#familyloss#missmymom#weddingday#dressfitting#mirrorselfies#selflove

my first wedding of this year was such a classic & beautiful one. working on these edits over the next couple of weeks and am really in love with how warm and comforting they feel; the space they got ready in together was filled to with so much art, love, music, family stories and warmth, right into an intimate dinner at a beautiful little restaurant in the heart of the city. alex + nathan, I am forever grateful for you including me in your lives for this brief but ever lasting moment of them; I had a wicked time with you & your families! ✨ ••• @wildnorthflowers worked her always magic; go check Jen & her incredible team out if you’re a couple looking for wedding flowers! their work is out of this world and they are the sweetest! @thesassafraz hosted all of their family & friends to an amazing dinner and took the best care of us all!
Reception vibes. ⠀
Time to have a drink and breath. ⠀
I wanted to share some tips for you guys during your reception! Some things I’ve come to learn and how I would go about doing something’s differently. From a photogs perspective. ⠀
1) if you have a huge bouquet try not to place it directly in front of your face at the head table, just a bit to the side because it’s the worst when no one can see you guys especially when there’s laughs, tears and so many emotions! ⠀
2) When your sitting at the head table plleeeaasse slide your chairs closer together- I want to document the two of you close not far apart especially during speeches. ⠀
3)the dances! Pllleeaassee try not to talk during all of the dances. I find a lot of Grooms and moms will talk the entire dance and it makes it so hard to capture a shot without both of your mouths open in mid convo. So you can talk a bit but try not to talk the whole time, just enjoy the dance with few words. ⠀
4) this ones for the bridal party-if your standing in a wedding remember you will be documented. During speeches be involved, listen and smile! Especially if your sitting right beside the bride and groom! No body wants a bridal party who looks bored! ⠀
5) lastly, just embrace every second-everyone in the room is there for the two of you, celebrating you and with you so have a freaking blast- oh and I love a good ol feeding each other a piece of cake to haha so adorable! ⠀
