What's your favourite city in Britain? London? Edinburgh? Newcastle? Bath? For me - York is at the very top of the list. Love this angle of the famous Shambles by @ajpurkis. Who can resist those wonderfully wonky wooden beams? (Try saying that fast x 10) 😝
There is a remarkable suggestion of the Middle Ages in the Shambles, a narrow winding street flanked with old tumblin' down shops and houses - overhanging so closely together you could easily shake hands with a neighbour across the street. The Shambles boast some of the best preserved medieval buildings in the world, many of which date back to the late fourteenth and fifteenth century (around 1350-1475AD) Tip: If you want to see this street completely empty, or at least much quieter... visit at dawn and you'll have it all to yourself - and then have a nice cup of tea when the Earl Grey tea shop opens! But really, I quite like it when it's busy as that's how it would have been back in the medieval period. Lots of hustle and bustle and plenty of sights...and smells.
And now, time for my morning tea! Thanks to @ajpurkis 🇬🇧 Want your photos of Britain to be featured? Follow and tag us in your shots...'ta! 🇬🇧

Via @restless.arch - Knapphullet is designed by @lundhagem, and is located in Sandefjord, Norway. The house is so beautifully nestled between those rocks. Not noticeable at first glance because it blends so beautifully with its surroundings, but its stunning amber lights give it away. The deck is perfect to host those late night barbecue parties and the home is very warm and welcoming. The terrace is also accessible, every corner of this house is beautiful, compact and cosy. Just perfect in so many ways. #allofhouses#fireplace#norway

This Apartment Tower is designed and visualized by studio @studioabstract_3d. Very contemporary design concept, that plays beautifully with volumes. The way simple geometric volumes are interlocking with each other is creating multiple terraces and balconies that allows each home a little bit of outside luxury at every level. Otherwise the homes are alse blessed with generous windows for some light and breeze. Use of vertical elements for exterior makes the elevation come alive, it's brown tones adds the much needed warmth to this rather large apartment building. It would be a pleasure to live in something like this, for sure. #allofhouses#apartment#luxury
#VisualVishay (3/3) Did we brush already? ❌Poor oral health is a risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. What’s not clear is whether gum disease causes the disorder or is merely a result—many patients with dementia can’t take care of their teeth, for example. Now, a privately sponsored study has confirmed that the bacteria that cause gum disease are present in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s, not just in their mouths. The study also finds that in mice, the bacteria trigger brain changes typical of the disease. ❌ There's more visual vomit in my feed. Cheggit? Thanks. 🍫
