Even worse, coaches who don't deliver results or just blast out the same cookie cutter 🍪 program to everyone they work with.   • With @idbi_fli_newdelhimarathon 2019 just a week away, here are a few crucial tips:
“If you can’t run as fast as you want to, you haven’t rested enough?” Ted Corbett 
Wondering how many of us have read this quote ? And yes, this IS valid. 
Tapering. 
You’re supposed to lower your training volume and replenish your energy stores. It gives your muscles a chance to rebuild and restore rather than stressing them with increased mileage. 
Your last key hard session should be about 10 days before race day. So, I’m hoping it’s done for all of you who’re racing on the 24th of Feb. 
The final week is SIGNIFICANT. You’ve put in all the hard work already. It’s time to look after yourself and your body. 
Don’t bother chasing time this week. Just get your easy chatty runs in. 
Don’t try anything new - be it an exercise, a stretch or clothes. Practice what you’re used to. 
Sleep and rest - try and get in as much extra sleep as possible in the week leading to the D day. 
Time to remember the positives and draw on these on the race day. Hang with positive, supportive people who are also excited by the thought of race day. 
Eat normally and as you reduce the volume and intensity of your training - this is a natural carb load. Never hungry. Never over full. 
Hydrate well throughout. Ensure you have enough energy drink and gels for consumption - whatever you’re used to. My favorite being @univedsports RRUNN #electrolytemix (orange flavor) and RRUNN #endurancegels (espresso cappuccino)

Have your racing gear out and ready. Do a check from top to toe. Remember, nothing new. 
Being a tad bit nervous before your race is normal. It only means you care about your performance and have put in a lot of effort into your training. 
Most importantly, enjoy your race and never let the joy of running leave you. 
Lastly, always finish strong ! **

  • Wasn’t feel too well this morning, stomach was killing me. Had to call in the morning, rest up and decided to hit some arms before my afternoon clients. Felt pretty good, took some @heroicmusclesupps Eruption, turned up the music and just zoned out. Body is slowly coming together, and I’m excited to see the package that’s gonna be brought to the stage.

If you haven’t yet switched to sourdough bread from normal store-bought ones, you’re probably missing out.
Sourdough bread baking involving using natural yeasts that are present in our environment. They undergo a long process of fermentation, where they breakdown the complex sugars in the flour. This is perfect for those of you with gluten-sensitivity while offering the complex depth of flavour of sourness and sweetness. Also using wholemeal flour provides you with whole heap of minerals!
I’ve been baking my own wholemeal sourdough bread for a couple of months now. Since then, never ever went back to the store-bought, heavily processed breads.
From time to time, I play with other varieties of flavour by adding nut and/or dried fruits like the picture above for fun :) I’ve tried walnut and dried figs here.
If you haven’t tried, visit your local artisan bakery and give it a go. You won’t regret, I promise 🤙🏼💋
