  • Sydney vibe ✨✨ :::
::: I've been to Sydney many years ago when I was tiny as a potato and I was ever so excited about visiting this city for the second time 🇦🇺 There's a couple things I felt about Sydney during my short stay and I want to share them here on my post 🌟 🧡 When I first arrived in Sydney and saw the iconic Opera house I was reaallly shocked 🤭 Expectation? Sparkling white Opera house glistening in the sun ✨ Reality? It was yellowish ivory like it hadn't been cleaned throughly for a long time 😂 I think it might have had to do with the bad weather, because when the sky cleared up on my last day in Sydney, it was definitely whiter than when it was cloudy. ▪️ I've been told that Melbourne does better food than Sydney but I must disagree on this one. There is not one restaurant in Sydney I've been to that I didn't fall in love with 🧡 Oh wait maybe not 'the dining room' in Park Hyatt hotel 🤣 But it still had an amazing view to offset the mediocre food so I guess that should count. In a nutshell it was definitely 'food' that I loved most about Sydney 😍👌 However Sydney can be quite touristy sometimes. There are so many Koreans living in & visiting Sydney and a lot of people working in retail or tourism seemed to know at least one or two Korean words 😮 I have no idea how but they were extremely accurate at guessing our nationalities and kept saying some stuff in basic Korean 😂 This is really saying something coz tons of people (mostly Chinese) just assume us Koreans as Chinese and talk to us in Chinese without asking if we really are Chinese 😅 (Ok I just used the word Chinese wayy too much) ▪️ I'm not sure why but Melbourne feels much safer than Sydney. Maybe coz I'm currently living in Melbourne so familiarity is what makes me feel safer? But there certainly is something about Sydney at night 🌚 ▪️ I think Sydney has more instagrammable spots than Melbourne. Melbourne seems more minimalist when it comes to bars, restaurants, and cafes compared to Sydney. 🧡 Well to sum up, despite Sydney being too hectic and touristy I would definitely go back soon 🌟 I'm already making a list of places to visit 😍
