⠀
Cappadocia Cave Rooms, Goreme Cave Rooms, Hostel Terra Vista.
⠀
⠀
Рестораны повсюду📍: One way, Mozaik, Sedef, Panoranik View Point.
⠀

  • .
Some people were born for adventure. They’re the ones who say yes to trying anything once. They immerse themselves in new cultures, support local and respect traditions. They say what time are you picking me up when you say you want to head on a road trip.
——
They meet new people from all walks of life and connect through stories and experience. They travel through backroads and trek mountains because the road less taken shows a new beauty yet to be discovered. They wake up early to catch sunrise and stay out late to see sunset transition to city lights.
——
They believe in human connection and enriching experiences. They believe in collaboration over competition because two heads are better than one. These are my people.

  • From Hội An with love! 💛🇻🇳
.
In Hội An this weekend? Do yourself a favour and eat a bowl of cau lầu for me 🤤
.
I’ve been waiting a longggg time to try this Hội An noodle speciality! I mean, hand-cut noodles tossed with sliced pork, crunchy rice crackers, local greens, and tasty broth has my name written all over it 🍜
.
Anyway cao lầu has been eaten since the 17th century and the real kicker is that the rice noodles get their brown colour and flavour from using water from a top secret ancient Cham well, just outside the town. Yes, like lower the bucket into the wishing well type of well. How neat is that? 😲

  • I had a pretty beachy photo to post today but it felt a bit weird to post something that was so inaccurate with what’s happening in my life this week.
.
I had a second surgery on Thursday to stitch up my open wound from the Mohs surgery which removed the skin cancer from my forehead. The second surgery went well and I am now bed ridden for the next few days with a huge bandage wrapped all the way around my head, two black eyes, and a completely swollen face. This is the last photo I took before my second surgery.
.
I got diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in August 2018, though it had been growing for a few years prior. My first memory of the cancer (which I didn’t know was cancer until I got diagnosed) was a scab that would make a scar and then bleed and scab over again. I thought it was just a wound that wasn’t healing properly, and I never really gave much thought to it unfortunately. My mom was the one who kept asking me to get it checked out. When I finally did, it had grown into a 1.5 inch circle. When the doctor cut it out on Monday, she had to cut down to the bone of my skull.
.
Basal cell carcinoma can be an easy thing to get cut out - if it’s not on your face. Getting cancer cut out of your face means a cut and then a complete reconstruction surgery, to make the face look normal again, without pulling the skin too much in any one direction.
.
Because my cut was so large, my doctor had to cut all the way from one ear to the other, and sideways down my face where the would was, to be able to keep my face looking as normal as possible. I’ll have v bad scarring for months, which will eventually heal, and my hairline on my left side is now pulled forward. The doctor has recommended looking in to laser hair removal to make my hairline look straight again.
.
I never thought that this could happen to me. Getting skin cancer at 31 is super rare. I always wore hats and sunblock outside. But I also still got burnt sometimes, and I went out in the sun as much as I could (w protection). Skin cancer is caused by the sun, and wearing SPF doesn’t fully protect you. I know we all think that this wouldn’t happen to us, but the truth is (cont in comments)

💫Fiji is one of my most loved destinations, not only are the people so friendly, the food, resorts, beaches and scenery are all fantastic. We stayed at the Outrigger Resort which truly exceeded our expectations. We will be back!💫
