  • The Southwest's most famous waterfall, Havasu Falls, can be found on the 10-mile out-and-back hike on the Havasupai Reservation in the Grand Canyon. #waterfallwednesday

The cascades of turquoise water can be found at the end of the trail. You begin the trail with a series of switchbacks through tall cliffs, colorful sandstone, and shale canyon walls, wind your way through the area known as the Narrows, and finally passing from Hualapai Canyon into Havasu Canyon. || Words by Outdoor Project Contributor Allison Mayes, photo by Outdoor Project Contributor @rinisugianto

  • Fun fact about me...I LOVE a good Ghost Town. I love it so much that when I was in High School and it was just me and my younger brother at home my parents let each of us choose one thing we wanted to do one summer as a family. Generally something within a distance of three hours or less. Well, no amusement parks for this girl...I made my family traipse out west to an old ghost town way back into the Idaho mountains called Silver City. 😂 And, for the record, it was awesome.
.
Castle Dome, AZ pretty much rocked my face off. Such a well kept place to see and so many fun buildings to explore. In my heart I know I should have been born in my romanticized book version of the Wild West, so walking over the creaky floorboards of the mercantile and the old church felt like going home to me. 🙌😂 Especially that church...I couldn’t stop taking pictures of it. Pretty sure the buildings have all been “retouched and restored” quite a bit, but it was such a fun place to visit. More pictures to come because I could not help myself. ❤️

  • I read a very nice piece on “distance” yesterday written by @akshaykapoooor on how distance treats us and teaches us so many things.

The immediate thought that came to my head was how time is a healer & distance can be too. How time & distance both walk hand in hand. And just like that back in school we were taught time & distance stays together and are dependent on each other.

Distance not only teaches us patience but also how to be emotionally, financially & physically independent. It teaches us whom to trust & whom not to. It also teaches us how to say NO to things we are not comfortable with or don’t want to do. Also teaches us how to say YES to things & to people in our life. Everything is an experience and is counted as a lesson in life.

Most importantly what distance teaches us is that with time, who is important in your life & who is not. Who leaves you and who stays with you. I’ve seen relationships break because of distance & they blame time - “time was bad for us”. I’ve also seen relationships rise in my life and with much love.

Distance is a test & time is the result.
Any relationship that can sustain distance & a bad time together is for forever & the strongest in life.

18.01.2019

I might be 2000 miles far,
Yet a call away.
We might be physically apart,
Yet we are emotionally together.
Call me if you need me,
And I promise to take the next flight home.
Time will heal & Time will mend,
Time will bring us together once again.

Relationships are never about I or YOU. That’s selfish. It is always about WE & US. I might not be a relationship expert nor do I intend to be one. But I’ve been in phases where distance tested me. And I survived.

Believe in time.
And not in distance.
It’s just a number.

  • We visited a cactus forest! We didn't spend much time in the park because we arrived late, but it was still magical. There's so many cactus, and with that magnificent mountain backdrop, it's just gorgeous.
🌵🌵🌵
