  • I remember the day in 2015 when I thought I should just accept my life wasn’t what I wanted. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I had no energy. I had knee pain every night, and my knee doctor told me my only choice was to delay surgery as long as possible. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I always had trouble sleeping, and I had heartburn so bad my dentist noticed. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then I decided to try just 21 days of a simple fitness and nutrition program. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That decision changed my world — inside and out. ⁣⁣

And 2018 was the best year of my life. ⁣⁣

I married a man who I’m so honored to be with. ⁣⁣
I bought a house. ⁣⁣
I walked a Florida beach with my coaching team.⁣⁣
I jumped on trampolines with my nephews. ⁣⁣
I tried my first kickboxing class. ⁣⁣

  • a no running required, booty kicking treadmill workout 💦 this had me sweating and my leggies burning!! _
METHOD
💧 Start with a 4 minute easy walk warm up. After that every move/exercise will be separated with a 2 minute walk on 15% incline speed 4.0mph - the walk should feel tough! For all clips keep treadmill running just jump to the slides (so u use it’s timer)!
💧2 minutes of 30 seconds squats to 30 seconds pulse squats 💧 2 minutes incline power walk
💧 2 minutes glute kickbacks switching sides every 30 seconds
💧 2 minutes incline power walk
💧 2 minutes single leg squats switching sides every 30 s 💧 2 min incline power walk hehe
💧 2 min single leg calf raises switching sides every 30 s
💧 2 min incline power walk again
💧 put speed to 1.0 for 1 min side squat walks each side 💧speed back to 4.0mph and 2 minute incline power walk again
💦 repeat this sequence of alternating 2 minutes of leg exercises with 2 minutes of incline power walking as many times as needed. disclaimer: if you do this 3x you may be very sore & sweataaay 💦😂🙏🏽 _
double tap & save for next time you want cardio + leg burnout without running / equipment.

  • Today was great! @redemptionfitnesslv has free classes all weekend so I hit up @jadaaalynn_ & we went to take @christinaboycep90x2 1230 REP class. Was a good one today🔥
.
Since I can’t do the ab portion of class due to 👶🏽, I did the Dynamic Mode round twice and it was killer. Probably my favorite round. Swipe Left to see some of the moves Christina had us do today! 🍑🍑🍑
.
Im teaching REP tomorrow at 12pm and its FREE! Come see what this dynamic mode feature is all about😉 You power the treadmill which makes it fun!🙌

  • Day 5
I should have gotten up and ran this morning but I didn’t and the day got away from me. I got 5.6 on the treadmill before making dinner and had Mike drop me off on the way to basketball game 2 of the day where I finished out for 8 total.
The snow started coming down as we were leaving and I couldn’t have been happier. The snow has a way of making the world stop and everything seem peaceful. I do not like to split up my long runs but on to the next

  • Walking outdoors is relaxing on nice days. Even if those days are cold, such walks are energizing. If you can’t walk outside use the treadmill. Progress by increasing the incline and speed over time.

I do my HIIT training on this apparatus. 10 to 15 min is ideal for high intensity training. If you use it for steady state cardio grab a book, turn on your favorite music or watch a tv show and enjoy the workout for 25-30 min.
To know 85% of your heart rate workload: 220-(your age) x.85= target heart rate workload. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

  • Thoughts before making it here today: I have a lot to do, I shouldn’t go. I’ll just do extra tomorrow to make up for it. Maybe I’ll do an at home workout even though I know I hate working out only in the house...... ⁣
⁣
Days like this (snow or rain) are when you prove to yourself what your standards are. Make no excuses and you WILL reach your goal. 👏🏽 ⁣
⁣
30 min stair master steady state cardio (burns 300-400 Cals ) also one of the best heart rate ranches to burn fat.⁣
⁣
Pick 3-5 ab movements do 3-5 reps of each 5x 💥⁣
⁣

  • Solid days work. In the morning I did the @crossfitwestfield Fire HIIT class which included rowing intervals then a bike & thruster workout that was 🔥 on the legs. Thanks to @kkeel10 for the coaching & push! This afternoon I wanted to get a moderate tempo run in on tired legs to see how they held up. Using the treadmill was so much easier but still am happy with result. 1M easy then 7M tempo, gradually increasing pace. #treadmillworkout #runner #running

  • I DID IT! 🙌🏼 I woke up early, despite going out last night, to run 3.1 miles! When I say run it was a combo of fast walking/jogging and a pace where I’m not struggling to breathe. It was a struggle to get myself out of bed this morning and the thought of running those 3 miles (it’s been a LONG TIME since I’ve ran for a longer period of time) was daunting. I watched @blogilates while I drank my preworkout and ate my banana to get further motivated to get on with my run.
.
.
I headed to my gym, warmed up and stretched and hopped on the treadmill. I hope to start running outside once the weather clears up next week! I’m slowly compiling my running playlist, so far it’s a short list of songs but they really motivate me to keep going. If anyone has go to running songs or playlists let me know! .
.
After the first mile, it surprisingly got easier to keep up a consistent jogging pace! It didn’t feel like I was being tortured anymore! I felt so proud once the distance hit 3 miles. And also my legs were burning, but still proud. Stretched and then got ready for my day ahead. I felt really good and productive! I love this feeling and I hope I can keep reminding myself if this outcome when the days seem harder to get going. .
.
Side note, while I was cleaning out my closet I found my college ASPB adidas jacket and it sparked joy in me again. It fits a bit snug now but hey motivation so I can keep wearing it 😬

  • Happy Snowy Saturday! ❄️ Days like today are perfect for baking cookies, sipping tea, and watching Netflix, am I right?! ☃️ Does it snow where you’re from?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I just got home from the gym. I wasn’t going to go today because my body is sore from my lifts this week (I’ve been lifting pretty heavy 😈), but I interrupted my chill afternoon for a cardio session and I FEEL AMAZING. I love doing cardio when I’m sore because it seems to stretch my body out and make me less sore. I usually don’t go to the gym strictly to do cardio and don’t do cardio for over 30 minutes, but here was my workout today:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
60-Minute Treadmill Fat Burner:
✓5 minutes (4 mph + 2.5% incline)
✓1 minute (6 mph)
✓1 minute (6.5 mph)
✓1 minute (7 mph)
✓1 minute (7.5 mph)
✓1 minute (8 mph)
✓1 minute (8.5 mph)
✓4 minutes: 15 second walk, 45 second sprint (9 mph)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This circuit is 15 minutes. Repeat it 4 times. It is tough, but you can do it! The 5-minute walk intervals give you the rest you need for your 10-minute run intervals 🏃🏽‍♀️

  • Yesterday afternoon my goal 5K was cancelled due to the threat of another potential winter storm, much like last weekend. I didn’t let this get me down since I’ve known for most of the week that it was possible. Turns out “Frozen Buns” should not be taken literally.
No matter. Small snack and NUUN for breakfast, lots of stretching and rolling, and I started my run when the race would have.
Sure, it’s not the same as I would’ve run outside with a feel of 15 degrees and a 25mph wind, but I’m taking this as a win today.
I truly ran this as fast as I could. 13 seconds faster than last week, 18:21. Of course, I’ll look for a 5K later in the season that works for my half marathon training, which starts next week.
Mile 1: 6:00
Mile 2: 5:55
Mile 3: 5:51
Mile 3.1: 35s
