  • Eclectic rugs, macrame, lanterns, feathers and wild woodland. A few of my favorite things in Juliette and Jonny’s unique ceremony backdrop. This image was captured just after they said their vows last Friday. Such an epic weekend. Looking forward to sharing more with you from this one 🔥

  • I feel like it’s time to introduce myself on here again, it’s been a while since the last time.
Most of you know me as Opi, my full name is Opinder. An unusual name, that comes from the north of India. When I was born, my parents went to the gurdwara (Sikh temple) and the Guru chose the letter my name would start with. A traditional way many names were chosen in Sikh families. So this became my name, Open the Door came from my name Opinder Kaur.

I was born in Manchester, but as soon as I was old enough, I left to explore the world. A shy timid Opinder left for Canada for a year with hardly enough money to survive the first few weeks (but immigration didn’t know that!) and I entered the country on a year long work visa.
I took away a lot that year, and I truly believe my life would have been completely different had I not taken that trip. But, something that really stunned me beyond belief that year was - how beautiful the world is.
Growing up in inner city Manchester, with not much money, makes you think that the whole world is grey. No really, it’s hard to think it could be any other way. I’m not only talking about the weather and the architecture, but the people, and their lives.
After that year, I spent many more on the road, a year in Asia, then another in South America. With time in between in London. And the last 6.5 years here in Spain. Each year adding colour, culture and my curiosity growing in every direction.

My journey has given me such a strong connection to nature and the environment, maybe because I was so disconnected from it for the first part of my life. It’s funny how the lack of something, can then become the centre of everything. Life is fascinating. My experiences have taught me that hard work and a positive mindset will get you anywhere you want to be. Even if you are starting with absolutely nothing.
This picture was taken by @darkmaito working alongside @sandatfloral - the best florists in Bali! And is a beautiful reminder of how far I’ve come with my little business ✨

  • NEW BLOG! Kathryn and Nick proclaimed their love to the world with a Brunch Bash! The beautiful bride and her dashing groom enjoyed donuts and drank mimosas with their friends and family to celebrate the beginning of their life together. Mattie’s at Green Pastures in South Austin provided the perfect ambiance to match these kindred souls. The brunch wedding reflected their fun-loving nature including outdoor games, The “Great Wall of Donuts”, crosswords and lots of laughter. The couple’s two cherished dogs joined in the celebration because it would have been “ruff” to seal the deal without them. After their fun-filled day and beautiful ceremony, Kathryn and Nick are beginning their married life with not one but TWO adventurous honeymoons! A special “Thank you” to the talented team of 36th Street Events for creating this modern celebration. It was definitely one for the books! Link in bio.

  • With most of my time being centered on this season’s Spring weddings, I look back to last Spring, to Martin & Aino’s cosy wedding in northern Spain. The way he looked at his bride that evening gave everyone butterflies, you can see the love in the air. ✨
