Drawn back in 2015, this drawing represents a turning point in my work, the first larger scale drawing completed in public, I remember the apprehension and excitement I felt leaving familiar comfort zones.
Since then my drawings and confidence has grown and with it my belief in what I do. -
Those with Tate Modern limited edition prints looking to sell please get in touch via email as I have collectors keen to own.
At the end of last year I spent a day on the corner of Howe and Georgia doing nothing for 16 hours under the pretense of work... One of the many thoughts I had to pass that time and stay sane went something along the lines of "aw yeah that building over there might be cool to sketch" so without further ado here's the initial sketch. Will hopefully have the final work done by the end of the week.
Also here's a fun fact, apparently this building was featured in the Vancouver level of Tony Hawks Underground back in the day. Gotta hit up them cultural landmarks while I'm in North America right?
This chapel was nearby where I was staying. Goa has a lot of beautiful churches and chapels. The architecture and interiors of these buildings are either simple and charming, or very intricate and quite stunning. Either way, all of them looked great 😊
