Flourless Fudge Protein Brownies⠀
⠀
3 ripes bananas⠀
2 tbsp of maple syrup⠀
1/2 cup of peanut butter ⠀
1/3 cup of cacao ⠀
2 scoops of @pranaon Rich Chocolate protein powder ⠀
1 tsp of vanilla essence ⠀
⠀
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.⠀
2. Line a small brownie tin with baking paper.⠀
3. In a blender mix the bananas then add all the ingredients and blend together. ⠀
4. Scoop and spread in your brownie tin.⠀
5. Cook for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

  • Easy Almond Cookies (V-GF-SugarFree) 🌿.

¿Quieres unas galletas en un abrir y cerrar de ojos? TACHÁNNNNNNNNN. Ya que el otro día os pregunté si dulce o salado y fue un 50-50, os debía una receta golosa. 
Muy muy fácil, muy muy rica. Que disfrutéis del miércoles.
¿Qué necesitas?
✨ 2 plátanos grandes maduros.
✨ 1 1/2 tazas de harina de avena sin gluten.
✨ 2 cucharadas de crema de almendras (o la que tú tengas, por ejemplo cacahuete).
✨ 2 cucharadas de sirope de agave y una de leche de almendras sin azúcar.
✨ 1 cucharadita de bicarbonato.
✨ 1 cucharadita de canela.
✨ Almendras picadas.
🌿 Precalienta el horno a 180º. Añade los plátanos a tu procesadora o vaso de batidora, añade la crema de almendras, la leche y el sirope y bate todo junto.
🌿 Añade la harina, la canela y el bicarbonato y vuelve a integrar dando pequeños toquecitos -como siempre digo, no mezcles demasiado-. Por último añade las almendras en trozos (dejate algunos trozos para ponerlos por encima).
🌿 Forma bolitas y ve colocándolas en tu bandeja para horno sobre una lámina antiadherente). Añade los trozos restantes de almendras.
🌿 Hornea unos 12-15 minutos, hasta que se doren. Deja enfriar en una rejilla y disfruta.

  • Tuesday’s are spent in my Plant Based Preventative Cardiology Clinic - and words can’t describe how happy it makes me.

Today two of my patients were able to come off of ALL of their medications. After transitioning to plant based diet, increasing their exercise and changing their lifestyle - they completely changed their lives. Completely. Their diabetes is gone. Their hypertension, GONE! Their cholesterol...it’s perfect. Their risk for heart disease has diminished. One of my patients signed up to run his first 10K. Last year when we met he didn’t even walk a mile. I’m so proud.

And I met new wonderful patients today, and I’m so excited to start our journey to health together.
⠀⠀
I never thought as a physician I would be so damn lucky to constantly watch my patients reverse their diseases. I’m watching my patients diseases disappear rather than just managing chronic illness. I’m stopping their medications instead of starting them on new ones. I’m getting to see you all live your best lives.

I am truly the luckiest. Thank you to all of my patients for providing me the most meaningful career I could have ever imagined. You have made every sacrifice, every night on call, every board exam, and every struggle of medical training worth it. So worth it. I believe in you and thank you for trusting your health with me!

  • Sometimes it's rough and sometimes it is warm tomato bread 🤤 
Heute gab es mal ein bisschen ein anderes, spätes Frühstück. Vollkornbrot mit so-wie-Frischkäse, Tomaten und Kräutern. Knusprig aus dem Ofen. Kinder das war schön!! Ich stehe dieser Woche bisher mit sehr gemischen Gefühlen gegenüber, komme gar nicht richtig rein in meinen Alltag. Geht euch das auch manchmal so? Ich finde das schrecklich, ich bin die ganze Zeit beschäftigt aber am Ende des Tages frage ich mich was ich zum Geier eigentlich getrieben habe 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • blueberry protein smoothie bowl😛this is my current go to bowl!! The ingredients are: frozen blueberries, banana, kale, a  couple chopped dates, soya protein powder, 1/4 avocado and soya milk 😛🥑then top with alllllll the toppings! The avocado in this smoothie makes for an even CREAMIER and the dates add lil bursts of extra sweetness; it’s to die for😍

yo, wassup my lil lovelies! Currently on the way to the gym to get some more muscle training in before I go to work for the evening 💪😴I’ve noticed that my appetite has revved up even more since doing more strength exercise. Past me? She would have suppressed the hunger as it didn’t fit into the calorie goal for the day and would have seen it was a good thing cause it means the exercise is working and she’ll lose weight🤦🏻‍♀️me now? Eating ALLLL the things. Until my body is physically and mentally satisfied. Not stuffing myself (but it’s okay if this happens) and eating what I crave. It’s hard, because I do worry at the back of my head, but it’s getting so much easier to honour myself. How the hell can you expect to be able to focus, even just generally live, if you aren’t fuelling your body? This applies to every kind of lifestyle. Whether you’re building muscle, recovering from disordered eating, or have stayed in bed all today and ate a lot yesterday. Food is fuel, you don’t have to deserve or earn it, you have to eat and I promise you’ll feel better for doing so💕💖✨🌈
