  • This is one of those flows to really embrace graceful strength. Try to feel into each shape and movement. Take more than one breath if necessary. Also try it with one breath (volume on to hear mine). Keep your breath flowing and even so you don’t feel the need to gasp. Modify as needed. This is a pay attention and play practice. Thanks to @sweatwithantoinette for the side bakasana to low pistol transition. 
And YES I’m wearing my new bikini from @sensibikinis made by @sensigraves here in Hood River, Oregon. #add I have loved mine from them and jumped at the chance to try their new line that came out today. I’m not one to advertise stuff around here, but I like them. Now to find a warmer place to wear it... In case you’re interested: my top is the “Claire” in small and bottom is “Elise” in medium. I also really like the “Kayla” too in small.

  • To be a good yogi doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to write poems, or do crazy asanas, or have the biggest sponsor, or the more expensive yoga clothes, or be super fit, or drink superfood smoothies everyday. These are just details depending from decisions, but they don’t necessarily fit everyone’s lifestyle.
To be a good yogi, 
You just need to end the day, with the feeling that you did the best as you could for your happiness and compassion towards others.
To end the day with a grateful heart, knowing that you are better than the morning earlier, the afternoon earlier, five minutes earlier.
Unconditional love, compassion, practicing kindness, gratefulness,live fully in the present moment, be aware, study your breath.
These makes us good yogis ❤️

  • For my #FridayNightFlow and for my @gymshark #gymshark66 challenge, I will end my week with spending some time to create a space for opening up to receive love and for the first time creating my own flow....♥️💪🏾Often times, we as humans, create a wall for protection, impeding on allowing light and love into our lives. We have to acknowledge that things do happen, to us all, that may break our hearts, our spirits an yea even our egos. But leading with an open heart will allow us to heal. Allow, us to find new ways to love and receive love. And allow us to lead happier and healthier emotional lives.   • No one tells you how hard breastfeeding is going to be in your body. The other night I went to bed with a serious dead arm... decided it would be in my best interest to take the next couple of days off of Ashtanga of course. Finding it so important to get my scapula stretches in and just flow it out 😁 #heavyflow #notjustashtanga #vinyasa #shoulderstretch #gettingjackedthough

  • s a competitive diver, things can be lonely.  During competitions, it is just you up on the board, with a row of coaches and officials on the side of the pool waiting to judge how perfect your dive is.  During practice, when you are learning a new dive on ten meter, it is you battling your mind to get yourself to go when your coach yells three.  It is much like when you are on your mat.  It is you and your body and breath.  You are the only one on your 3 by 5 mat, forced to face yourself and the discomfort that can arise.
But, the one thing that made all the difference as an athlete were my teammates.  While they could never get up on the board with me to do the dive for me, they were always there on the side lines, cheering me on and reminding me I was badass and crazy enough to do it.  They were there to hear my fears, give me new ways to think about things, and color in pixar coloring books during competitions to lessen the anxiety.
This is often similar to what a Community Yoga Class feels like.  While all yoga classes feel amazing, community classes have that little extra oomph.  You get people from all walks of the practice.  From beginners to lifelong practitioners.  Everyone there for something bigger than themselves.  Breathing for the person on the mat next to them.
